Music producer here with an interesting easter egg: The music sounds so strange because the audiosamples, the audio's 'pixels' if you will, are moshed and stretched and repeated thousands of times in completely unnatural ways. Snippets of the audio are continually and randomly overlayed on top of other pieces of the audio. This gives it a strange, grainy sound which is why the effect is called 'granulation' or 'grain streaming'. It's basically a type of aural data moshing.

Pretty much. To save data, some video formats break up videos into blocks, and then just track how those blocks appear to move from frame to frame. What OP is doing here is taking the motion data from one video and applying it to the visual data of another

Incredible! Reminds me of my first Acid trip wich was a bad trip I saw my realization scatter in front of me followed by being thrown into new ones over and over, seeing memories from the past but different outcomes than they actually happened. One of the worst trips ever at first but now that I overcome it its one of my best trips ever.

I can imagine, that it was a lot of work and that there was a lot of trial-and-error ivolved, but I think the results are really good
The most impactful visuals of this is when it’s moshes into faces. It can catch you off guard and create a sense of feeling like you were being watched by someone you didn’t know was there. Really cool stuff

Wow, I love this - its so like some eearly video work I've seen from the 70s but they where using dwell time on monitor phosphor (filming the screen) to overlay footage and leave traces and organic breakdown of images. Love it!
