Why move nand to board "B" rather controller to board "A"? Or whatever chip the cache lives in?

Moving the NAND is high risks, thats where the data is stored. Moving the controller is much more ideal.

what was the reason to move nand chips, you could have moved the controller?

Can you put a different nand brand instead? Or it has a custom software installed and will not work??

why not swap the controller and its cache chips while not removing the NAND chips? is it because it is easier to swap the NAND chips? I think the controller has about 500 FPGA ballpins. Imagine reballing causes damage to the NAND that would be an end game. Damage to the controller means it can always be swapped for another one if damaged during reballing.

Can controller be changed and data recovered on crucial ssd? Are not they paired to nands?

I have two western digital SSD’s that my ex gf smashed with a hammer bc she found pictures from 2012 of a girl i dated but never mentioned…yeah she broke the motherboard on both of them and smashed all the PC monitors too. I just rebuilt a new PC. But I really want to boot from my old hard drives man… I have YEAAAARS of apps and notes, and essays I wrote, my entire life was on there for the past 20 years. Any way you can help?
