Is it possible to recover deleted playlists and metadata from iPod classic? I’ve recovered all the songs, but doesn’t really matter because the metadata and play counts are gone. I have all the music ripped to a hard drive anyway, so just simply getting the mp3s is not enough. I want to restore my iPod back to how it was with my playlists and play counts for each song. Is it possible? I’m not finding much help online

Would I be able to salvage an old iPod classic if it had been bricked from being connected to a Mac when it was formatted for Windows? I've been sitting on two iPod Classics that have both crapped out on me and I'd love to restore them to a useable and possibly upgraded state.

I accidentally formatted my iPod classic (lost all mp3 files) when I connected charger while it was turning on it wiped my music, any way of restoring it (on Mac)? Are the files still on my iPod somewhere? Thanks *also I have an old windows laptop I don’t use, if I cannot do it on MAC.

@@forensicguy thanks, it’s a black “IPod classic” btw not an iPad.. and as soon as it happened I put it down immediately in disbelief and havnt touched it since! It was very traumatising to be honest because all my favourite teenage memories were in that, along with my own music I made many years ago, and had no backups or copies left due to laptop meltdowns etc. yes any help would be much appreciated, im in Australia 🇦🇺 TIA🙏🏽

If its a magnetic disc, it should be good for a long time. If its flash, there is a chance it will not
