I have a question please reply~ if I paint the bottom of my sail boat with hydrophobic paint, will it make the boat go faster? thank you!

This is an idea that has been tried. In general, yes. But the other problem is Marine growth on that paint. International Paint tried to attack both problems by making a paint that wasn't exactly hydrophobic. Instead, layers of the antifouling paint sloth off. But they do it at a specific size to achieve smoother water flow over the surface. End result:. Reduced marine growth and less resistance on the hull.

A full education in CFD would be university level course. Most universities offering programs in engineering will include classes in CFD.
