Joel and Hannah joined us for our latest episode of #Date2Donate! They are trying lots of firsts for their podcast and giving blood is an especially important one to them after Hannah's mum received nine pints last year.

Just gave my 100th pint today. I've been looking forward to this my whole donation 'career'. Thanks to all the Blood Donation staff who have carried out the many tasks required to take my donations over the years. I feel a great sense of achievement. Maybe somewhere along the line my blood has saved a life or at least helped someone in some way. I'd advise anyone who is thinking of donating to go ahead and do it. I'll carry on giving for as long as I can.👍

Giving blood is fun and easy. The staff that run these things are fantastic. Donated for the first time in January and will give my fifth pint on Christmas Eve. Had been meaning to do it for many years and am glad I've started. One donation even went to Great Ormond Street to help a sick kid.. If you're healthy and able, I'd say it's a moral duty to donate.

Have donated 61 times and no problems. Easy to do and you can help others - perhaps even help to save a life. Well worth it

Good on you both and hugely important to raise awareness about the importance of asking more people to step up and donate blood. Most of us can and should make the time to donate a pint every now and then, which we definitely have spare👍🏻
