Hey Michelle, I was born with scoliosis and had a physiotherapist for quite a few years and she told me absolutely no running. Walking is just as beneficial to your body and it’s not nearly as hard on the body, especially as you get older. I feel your pain girl!

I always do makeup first! Either in my pajamas or a robe, especially if I have showered. I like to shower and while my hair air dries I do makeup, then fix my hair, and get dressed! It’s what works for me… plus I always spill makeup and shed hair on my clothes otherwise 😅

Hi Michelle, I’m 49 and I’ve been experiencing back pain and some injuries when I work out. I found out through my holistic doctor ( and after a very extensive blood work), that my “resting “ or morning level of cortisol is very elevated, this causes stiffness in your muscles thus making you more prone to injuries (I work out in the mornings due to my office hours). I’ve been taking alternative supplements to help me with that besides other hormonal issues I have (hello menopause) and it has helped me tremendously. I just wanted to mention that. Love these vlogs. ❤

Date night within a marriage is very necessary and sweet to do. Btw the Florasis makeup box has a hidden ring compartment underneath the makeup, just pull the ribbon tab to remove the top shelf holding the makeup and you will see the ring compartment. Michele, try Pure Barre. I used to teach it. It is a combo of pilates, yoga and ballet. And yes, done to vibrant music (ok not always a fan of the playlists) and a 90 second plank during warm up. Not sure where a studio is in relation to where you live, but it was a 20 minute drive or so from the Luxor Hotel when I went there. And yeah. Stretching is essential.

I made a reservation at Amalfi for my next Vegas trip, thanks to your earlier vlog! The pistachio sundae got me. I definitely do makeup, in a robe of some sort, before getting dressed. Lastly, getting the right massage once a week or 10 days can reduce back pain. Check with your doctor first.

I get dressed and then put on my makeup, because I'd hate to get makeup on my clothes and I feel like it's easier to avoid that if I'm already in them, especially if I'm wearing a pull over the head top. Plus deciding what to wear is always the harder decision to make, and then my outfit can dictate my makeup choices. That's just me. Same scenario for hair as well.

Hi there- love you and your content. Just want to encourage you to be kind to yourself - we all have different abilities and our bodies shift day to day- don’t worry about what you feel your body “should” do and try to meet your body where it is with curiosity and non-judgment. (Like your meditation practice.) Don’t push to your edge in stretching but rather notice when you start to feel something and slowly breathe into a deeper stretch. Sounds like maybe some psoas stretches could help. Sometimes what we resist most is also most needed- so start with a timer for even 3min and just stretch that long. Lots of love- I hope this helps. I’ve been a personal trainer and yoga teacher for over 13 years now and I just love helping people feel better. It this isn’t helpful just ignore it- and happy to offer any more tips if you’d like. ❤❤❤

Have you tried yin or restorative yoga? I am not flexible at all either but I find restorative yin a lot easier than hatha or vinyasa, and also relaxing/meditation. I do all the easier modifications and use lots of props (foam blocks, pillows, bolster, plankets). Yoga with Kassandra on KZbin is amazing. And she's in Ottawa, my old stomping gound.

I think it might be a good time to invest in an ergonomic work chair for your poor back situation and maybe a standing desk with a walking treadmill underneath? Yes it's definitely an investment but since you work such long hours at a time without pause, it'll be worth it.
