All major brand jewelry and bags are a bit overdone. Everyone looks the same. Bespoke or pre loved unique pieces is more individual. It is like everyone is franchised and wearing an uniform. It doesn't matter if the fad is designer and expensive, it is still a fad. Like to see you moving over to be more of you.

personally I think Van Cleef is an investment piece, but I equally think it’s down to who’s wearing it. Some people make it look tacky and others make it look classy and beautiful 😊

I'd love if you could elaborate more about what makes Van Cleef (and other expensive designer items / jewelry) an 'investment' piece? Does it actually stay at the same value, or appreciate in value over the years? Because I know many designer items do, in fact, depreciate Personally, I'd rather put that $2-3k in an actual investment/stock rather than jewelry, but that's just me

@@LunaVioletta7depending on what designer it is (in this case van cleef) once it is bought the worth multiplies. This is also true for Hermes Kelly’s or birkins and Chanel classic flaps. You can buy a birking for 6k and turn around and sell it for 25k if you take good care of it.

I have seen many kids and women with fake Alhambra bracelets. They look cute. If you want to spend 5k, go ahead. If you want to spend 10, fine too. Trends come and go. If something that expensive gives you the ick cause it’s now popular I would say you don’t actually like it and you buy it for your ego rather than because you enjoy it. I don't think van cleef is ick especially if someone has bought a bracelet/piece for you. I don't have van cleef per se but my jeweller did an identical Alhambra bracelet with more gold content in it (technically an investment piece now). Yes it looks like van cleef (although strictly is not) but my dad and grandmother bought it for me and it reminds me of them and the love that went into it. we're not doing ick and we're not giving things a limited lifespan in 2024. we're being thoughtful and mindful, we're going to enjoy everything we've spent our money on or that has been gifted to us. things like this should not be disposable because social media says it is.

Ahhh, you always have the most amazing time in The States ❤❤❤. Although I love my VCA mother of pearl necklace, they are very expensive considering they are not very hardy. I was also wanting it in malachite but have found a great dupe that won’t tarnish if you accidentally spray perfume on it and can wear in the shower, and was a fraction of the price, I love it as much as my VCA one💚.
