Hi, just a few words to congratulate you for your French. From the few words that you ushered, la can tell that your pronunciation is excellent. This is quite unusual. Regarding the so called "dating culture" in France, it matches what l experienced when I was younger. So it has not changed so much. I guess the "girlfriend" step in France, is to be considered as an exclusive dating. And yes "the kiss seals the deal". And the "je t'aime" step in very close to an shojo anime grade confession. It is indeed very emotional. You should not hesitate however to ask for clarifications. We are family oriented indeed. That is considered to be a marker of good sociability to have family bonds and we see it as a necessity in the hostile world as well as the fabric of our society. l was surprised that you find Frenchmen able to express their feelings. I believe that we are not so good at that. You probably stumbled upon a bf that have food emotional intelligence and are aware the with foreigners, better communication is necessary to make such a romantic relationship fly. You probably have a knack to attract such persons. Finally, the dating behavior is very class dependent in France and you may have very unpleasant macho experiences with less educated men (to my utter shame)

Hi Kiko! Coming from Asia with similar experience here :) How many dates did you go on before realizing that you are really in a relationship? It's quite tricky as he doesn't explicitly communicate this. Thanks!

Hello! Thank you for your comment & question :) maybe I would say on average, three dates from my 7 years of dating experience in France & my friends’ experience😃

Thank you@@kikohirakawa :) Another question: Did you have experience with any French man that is more into meeting up and doesn't like texting? He usually only texts me for setting up our next plan only and Idk how to communicate on daily basis... But when hanging out in real life, he is more affectionate and sociable 😫

@@jaimeleboba 100%! They prefer to meet up right away and see if they feel any connection with you (normally physical first before emotional one). That being said, every French man is different, especially if you guys are still on the stage to get to know each other, they might text you more and seem to be kind but later in a relationship, it might become less and a bit colder 😆 With your person, if you don't like how you guys currently communicate, you can always let him know in a way that is not too needy (a bit playful) :) It is important that you also stay yourself tho! 🥰

Sometimes people are shy. Its not rude for a girl to ask a boy out in French culture. Try your luck

Kiko i wanna asked ive been dating with this guy for 5month, ya ure right after relationship its less. But i just shock that he call my name, like my name not baby or dear anymore. U think its a closure sign? But we still chat but usual chat and he still send me pic or vid. And he still at my insta. But u think by calling my name was a closure? Please help

Hello! Interesting question:) It can be a sign that he is questioning about the relationship. The best thing you can do for you guys & yourself is to ask him why he stopped calling you mon chéri or mon cœur. I know it takes courage to do so but trust me, it is the best thing (only thing) you can do to know where he is at in this relationship. Communication is everything in the relationship and you can ask him without sounding too needy.🪽 Usual chatting, sending photos, videos, his presence on Instagram normally don’t have a lot to do with how serious he is about you so I suggest you to chat with him about it. French people don’t ask you out but when they end a relationship, they do have a (long) discussion so I would not also say this is a closure tho!
