One of the reasons was his love for his woman, Yue Ji, became his weakness. Lu Jin’s mom had previously told Shengnan that she is Yue Ji, who became the weakness for Xiang Yu, and that she can’t be Lue Liang, who was the wife of Liu Bang and helped him create an empire. When Shengnan asked Lu Jin who he would choose, Liu Bang or Xiang Yu, she didn’t give him the context, so Lu Jin chose Liu Bang, because Liu Bang won the war.
