I go to Philippines and Thailand every year for 4 months. I could never imagine wasting my time on a dating site when I can go to any market and meet a decent person that showed up for work that day. That's just one example. You don't need a website in Asia unless you are so insecure. Just smile be a decent human and things will go alright

Old guy here married to a lady from Cebu for coming up on 11 years. Just a thought: avoid the "professional daters" you mentioned. It's hard: people can and do lie. When I was searching for my wife I screened through hundreds of Filipina's and I am not exaggerating. When it came down to a final decision it was down to my wife and a lady who worked as a real estate broker in Manilla. My wife worked for the government in Cebu,has a degree and speaks 4 languages. That the one I didn't choose was from Manilla was the deal breaker for me. "Manilla girls" have a well earned reputation for being true gold diggers. Not worth the risk for me. That wife and I have been together for 12 years and married for 11 says it all. Enjoy life partner: I had a heart attack last week and dealing with that as we speak.

Hi Brent, You strike me as a "straight up" guy. I was in Dumaguete January of this year. Wish I had run into you and we could have hung out and had a few beers and a burger. I met no women in the Philippines in the month I was there. I'm a 66 year old single (never married) American with a modest amount of assets (enough for the Philippines). When you get a divorce and they take everything you worked for, it doesn’t get anymore transactional than that. Maybe you need to Relocate, Duma/Valencia has many Expats, hard to find a pristine pinoy that's not playing {that wants an expat}. In terms of Not Settling, maybe that's the issue. If you go for the prettiest, surely it will be a short relationship (unless you're Tom Cruise). If you want something serious, stay in your Lane. There’s lots of pitfalls to dating here on the Philippines, I used a dating app with verification as I too had many many problems from the typical overtly sexual and scammers too. Try to stick your list of likes and dislikes, there’s plenty of gorgeous Filipina out there ..don’t rush in. It’s not a Filipino trait to move in asap or buying phones..the filters for some women are just another weapon to lure you in charrrr. Good luck 🙏

For a single guy not interested in the bar girls, pros, etc, does the PH really beat out Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, etc? I have decision paralysis, I'm thinking about Colombia due to proximity, language, spring like weather, activities, however looking at a $400 Airbnb in Medellin vs $400 airbnb condo in those Asian countries really has me thinking about Thailand or PH instead. My opinion is that any man who is considering the Philipines should just live life and experience the beauty of the nature that the Philippines offers, integrate with the local culture and people. Just travel with an open heart and at some point when the time is right, a good relationship will present itself. And it’s also my opinion, that many of these foreign men really don’t have any experience dating in the own country, but think that they’re going to come here and be gods when they enter the Philippines. I tell them I am not looking for a relationship but if something happens it happens. I make no promises. I have decided to try to be single. Too much responsibility for a filipina and her family. In 24 hours I had over 400 comments and friend requests and had them calling me in messenger in the middle of the night. I had to turn my phone off.
