A very popular one in my area is Buff ting, usually used towards hot girls. There is also hot spice, or a spice, for a person (more commonly a guy) who is good looking. On the opposite scale of this, for someone you DON'T find attractive, we use the word butters, or clapped. ("They are BUTTERS!/they are so clapped!")

I'm from the Outer Banks in North Carolina, and in the 50s and 60s there was a popular dance called a Shag. The island that I lived on even had a beach dance club. The first time my boyfriend visited was the year that Austin Powers came out. I just about drove off the road laughing at my boyfriend's shocked face at seeing a shag club.

Another one is "Ugandan discussions", which was started by Private Eye in the 1960s. It originates from a reference to a British politician having sexual relations with a Ugandan politician. Private Eye would use the term because its use was unlikely to result in a libel suit.

We have Chris Tarrant to thank for “bonking”. There was a terrible live comedy show late night on Fridays called OTT (which started early 1982, if I remember correctly) which had him and a few refugees from kids’ show TISWAS, like Lenny Henry. That started it all...

'Shag' English style has made an inroad into America now. I've heard it used in application to sex on sitcoms. 'Shaggy' used to reference long hair and an unkempt appearance, as well as the horrid '70s carpeting, so it has been a word looking for new meaning in its life.

The fact is the stuff these videos cover is of interest to a lot more people than just US people, it's pandering to their delusions of self importance exactly what you're claiming it is addressing. And I might add apart from the big cities Aussies are easily the equal to US in insularity.

because to the US, the UK is a completely foreign country, like France or Germany. We are not part of the Commonwealth and don't have your Queen on our coins. In fact most European origin Americans are German, not Anglo. We do speak English, thus your confusion, but we haven't been British in any sense for 240 years. Cute show, cute girls. I like the one with the glasses the best. She looks and acts like my wife at that age. BTW I'm not one of those Germanic Americans.
