Each time we broke up I thought I was doing something wrong but It turns out she has depression and a bit of a severe past with it. I saw her yesterday for a final goodbye and it broke my heart. Every guy I date, no matter how professionally successful, interesting, or handsome, is insecure. It will come out that he thinks he's ugly, unhappy with his job, or doesn't value himself (doesn't understand why I, an attractive and well adjusted woman, would date him). One handsome guy who had a career on fire and seemed super confident on our first few dates openly worried about his penis and asked me if it was good enough. He also didn't believe that I enjoyed his company and ended up ghosting me. I can't chalk this up to the law of attraction because I have built a full life I love and have no problem with myself. I don't pursue these insecure guys or try to fix them. I feel like there's an epidemic of men who see themselves like that girl in the movie 8th grade, and I'm like the dad who sees their good aspects, but unlike the dad it's not my job to parent them and so I move on.

You spoke directly to me and this video really really helped. I just went through the exact same thing this person did and it is so disappointing to discover this person isn't who they presented themselves to be at the beginning. Dating an unhappy man was extremely draining. He was hypercritical of me and put himself down for everything and it showed. I tried to fight for the relationship and wanted to support him through any rough time but it just wasn't enough for him and he was so negative about himself me and everything and everyone. It goes to the point I needed to protect my peace and energy. If you are dating a depressed and generally unhappy person it honestly isn't worth your peace of mind. The sad thing is they will probably never change and I truly hope he is happy in the future within himself it is hard because we can't change people they can only change themselves. In my experience different kinds of women will react differently to something like this. Sane women, with a secure attachment style and no childhood trauma will leave you if you don't have your shit together and are unable to help yourself, while they will support you if you decide to better yourself. On the other hand, women with bpd, an anxious attachment style, daddy issues, etc. will stay with you even if you are a disaster, as long as you provide supplies/attention/validation, while they will leave the moment you start to focus on bettering yourself.

Sorry old comment I know but I'm just watching now.....Yes but not so direct. Work it in naturally over time. Be the first to bring your family up. I like to do the quick pause and stare then laugh while reminiscing trick. Making her think hey what's so funny. Use this moment to reveal you thought about a funny moment with your father and share the story try and relate it obviously to something happening or happened on the date though to make it seem natural and not that you were zoning out from her. Then you can casually work in the question about what is something funny that she remembers with her father. If she has one you are mostly good. If she can't think of one then that immediately tells you the relationship isn't strong. Doesn't mean it is bad and toxic yet but it's not really good either. Gets you on the right track without having to be so blunt and be like hey so any daddy issues I should know about? Lol
@scorpiocurse7969 Жыл бұрын
The problem is that often the father is idealized, he could be the worst piece of shit on the planet, the most disturbed motherfucker, the most negligent of parents, but she will deny it, because it's too painful to see the truth...and years of therapy are needed.

It is disappointing but not their problem .When a guy is stuck or struggling that’s when his girl will test him the most.This idea of a supportive woman is an illusion and you must grow and build yourself and take unrelenting action to be successful.Top shelf woman will fall by the wayside every time and who doesn’t want a top shelf chick?Funny thing in this story that the couple have love for each other and it’s obvious that love is never enough.Moral of the story is that if your going backwards guys your girl will usually dump you. When your not on the ball or your best,what’s there for your chick to love and chase .?Fact is she will check out when you lose your edge and take the next warm body that comes along and facts do not care about your feelings..... and the cool part is that when she dumps you she is doing you a favour..

Hey Corey Ive been following and seeing your videos for sometime now. My girl broke up with me so i was wondering, what can do do to get her to reconsider her decision. So I researched, and found out that the best thing would be no contact for 30 days. Ive did my 30 days of no contact, started communicating with my ex through text messages, except she is dropping them from time to time and just doesn’t respond. Ive seen your videos about getting a personal encounter with a girl, and working on it, however I just can’t seem to get her to hang out with me. Ive asked twice now. First she said yes, coming to the day, she texted me she was busy and can’t do it, and asked if we can reschedule. I said okay, let me get my schedule from work and ill txt you, i did that then as soon as i scheduled another day wth her she just stopped replying to me. Where should i go with this? Also, how do i stay persistent with out being annoying? thanks in advance to Corey or whoever answers this.
@triethylborane777f79 жыл бұрын
+Yarik Petrash Dont contact her unless she contacts you first. Your behavior is needy, timid, annoying and completely unmasculine; she is basically running away from you at this point. Your next move is to get Coach Corey's e-book (its less than $10), read it 15 times, lose yourself in your life's purpose (work, school), and meet new and awesome women that you deserve. Sucks, Ive been there with several women that I could never see being without, but that is a possessive-bullshit-weak attitude that contributed to unhappiness for over 7 years and an eventual divorce. Unhinge yourself from the myths and lies you have been telling yourself about a woman that isn't attracted to you . . . she dumped you. Once you figure out what Corey teaches, you will never look back.
@jackbravo21729 жыл бұрын
+Yarik Petrash You wouldn't be asking these questions if you have really been following his video's. Corey say's this in almost all video's. " The strongest negotiating position is to walk away and mean it" and no contact means NO CONTACT, not 30 days, not 60 days, not any days. She has to be the one to reach out to you period! If you go contacting her with your pushy neediness, you will fuck everything up. How do you "stay persistent without being annoying?" Are you kidding me? You haven't watched any video where Corey teaches that. Wait to hear from her, that's it. When she contacts you, if ever. see what she wants, be cool and try and make a date, until then, you have no power to do anything.

+linccnil Bro, my advice to you is to move on to another girl, she is not hurting you by being nice to u in that way she is not interested for sure, because if she is even though a little let say 4-5 out of 10 she wont throw your meeting till next week, based on personal experience i could tell you she is not interested what you need to do is to forget about her and move on to other girls and leave the door open to her to come back if she wants to and that by texting or calling you and when that happen you can ask her to set a date :D i hope its helplfull

+Al-Nasir Al-Baldawi thanks yep that was the plan anyways, just wanted to see if im not too strict with that here

+Al-Nasir Al-Baldawi already did set up a date with another girl. This is something i learned from corey i have never done before, could have saved me so much pain lol. Just move on as you say too, makes things easy if you can focus on other women
@EASYDC9 жыл бұрын
linccnil exactly, and it would be better if u have multi girls dating and not be focus on only one ! otherwise you wont figure out "the one" easily !

"literally"? When a girl says literally just reminds you that there's 2 sides to every story.

it sounds like he wanted to get back to work and she didn't give a fuck about his work and just wanted to party and bullshit.

Oddly enough, was in an 8 year engagement w 2 children. My ex fiance is this exact way as this guy. She left me and texted me the same things the guy said to the woman in this story... I think her self worth/value,self esteem & her projected vision of life and goals arent as ambitious as mine...

This literally is my life situation right now. But the only difference is that we have a 2 year old girl together. So as much as I want to go on with my life and give him the time and space that he needs to be a better version of himself that's time I'm taking his daughter away from him because she loves with me and him and I don't live together or even in the same town, so what do you Reccommend when there's children involved?

I think this is my ex’s letter. I drained her bank account and emotions. However she’s depressed and stressed by her job, so this pertains to the pair of us.

It isnt a choice for most, you dont choose mental illnesses. You can however choose to not date a person with depression. People who really do have depression and dont fake it, didnt decide to have it.

Do you have advice where the Woman is Unhappy? I'm not dating a man!
@kristenmoonrise5 жыл бұрын
I'm sure the advice he gave is advice you can also use. You may not be dating a man but there's plenty of depressed dudes that can benefit from watching his video.

I think there more to this than what the girl is saying. She is putting all the blame on her ex.

Depression is nowhere near as black & white as it is portrayed in this video: Depression & codependency are not synonymous.
@lolaispure42965 жыл бұрын
They mostly are. Codependancy can be a sign of depresssio
@IacopoCutino002 жыл бұрын
I disagree. Everyone has problems, you can say that you will date someone when you will be happy. And trash your partner that for adverse circumstances is depressed. Guess what? It might never happen and have problems anyways. Also this idea of masculine center as all men should be centered, calm and successful is more of an ideal than reality. Many men are broke most of the time is not their fault, they will never have a spouse or a partner if you follow wayne theory because men should be always fine... And no one is always fine.

Maybe she's not the same girl as she claimed to be when they met. Then sucked the life force out of the poor bastard . Leaving him a sad pile of shit that just never thought he'd be good enough. So he gave up. Someone constantly criticizing you can beat the shit out of you . When you don't deserve it.. maybe some women are succubus Its possible........

@Jayce Pedro I pay for my healthcare, fortunately affordable due to Massachusetts Health, the model for the "Affordable" Health Care Act (signed by then Governor Mit Romney), I paid (personally) for my college education (and fully repaid my government loan for a portion of my graduate degree)... although those of my fully employed (of 5) kids are currently struggling to repay their college debts. Perhaps you are aware of what in life comes "free" because my parents didn't teach me that... Perhaps you mean "Mexico is going to pay for it"????
