» WHERE IS NEPHI FROM?
I am native to Bacolod City in the Philippines but in the recent years I have been moving and living a lot in different countries like Singapore, Japan and the US due to the nature of my work. I was in the US when I started this channel but I am currently in Indonesia thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
» MUSICAL BACKGROUND
Former band vocalist of Akita performing at K-Pub in Ayala Cebu, Philippines (2019-2020)
Former band vocalist of Big Three Band performing in Yokohama 7, Yokohama, Japan (2014-2016).
Former member of the Filipino Voice Symphony (2010-2011) where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our singing group bagged the "Gold Medal" in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
Former university choir and singing trainer at Technological University of the Philippines Visayas.
» WHAT IS THE GREATER GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.

Last AIM was 5 years ago. Unlike AJL which has a lot of sponsors, AIM relies mostly on the revenue of the music industry. The lack of budget made this award absent for 5 years. I'm glad it's back. Though it was gone for quite some time, AIM is still seen as a prestigious award and singers/musicians dream to win an AIM trophy.

What I love about this performance is that Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza doesn't hold back. Usually, in a duet, she wouldn't go full force due to her being kind not enough to outshine others (eventhough she eventually would #iykyk) but with fellow Queen, Liza Hanim, she just let it go!

One of the first performances we saw both Liza & Dato CT on one stage was during their performance of 'Segalanya' (My All Malay version) but they were with other divas (Ning Baizura, Misha Omar & Allahyarhammah Siti Sarah). But to see only these two on one stage is such a dream come true, Nephi! 😘

Both were rising back in 90s. Sadly, at that time people used to claim Liza's voice was pretty similar to Siti.. Which is not same at all . Liza has her very own tone . Liza is very humble , patient, never had any big issue etc etc.. Her patience and beauty personality paid off as now Liza is among the best female vocalist and among most respectful 😘😘
