You’re right about the first category, “Characters Who Win”. GT Goku counts cause he’s still technically “Saving the Earth” since it’s in immediate danger. Frieza saga wouldn’t count because the Earth being in danger wasn’t the cause of the fight. God Goku is included because he does end up saving the Earth from getting blown up at the end of the movie, regardless of winning the fight.

Truth, bookmark this because I think “Successor” being a possible part 2 leader can give us clues. Part 2 could be dedicated to villains. Who is on successor but is also a fusion and fights a fusion? Fusion Zamasu (can also have the tag mechanic). Who else is on the category that we practically know will EZA? FP Frieza and Great Ape Vegeta. Now you might say rivals and family makes no sense for extreme class units. Those are the “themes” and it doesn’t just have to be super class related. I predict LR Perfect Cell with bomb standby and an LR Kid Buu. Father/Son Kamehameha took out Cell and Goku/Vegeta were rivals who worked together to beat Kid Buu. Gogeta representation will come with the anni 1 SEZA as well as the year 7 LRs

I could see "Protector Of Earth" as a LS for a Father Son Kamehameha SS2 Gohan in Part 2. Goku passed the torch to Gohan(temporarily lol) as the new protecter of the Earth via fighting Cell. Remember, when Uncontrollable Power was added to the game we didn’t get it on a leader skill until INT Broly in Part 2 WWC so I could see them doing it again.

My only issue with the "Sucessor"/"Inherited Power" category is how they only approached this as power in a sense of authority (the royalty of king vegeta and king cold, piccolo inheriting dkp's rule over the demon clan, zamasu and aeos inheriting their position as kai, etc), and not power as in following the footsteps. Post Raditz Gohan should be here, as he is always mentioning that he is fighting in place of his father. Future Gohan and Trunks are literally inheriting the position of defenders of Earth and last Saiyans. Namek Goku inherits the Saiyan pride from Vegeta to fight against Freeza. I get it that its mostly what "Entrusted Will" is, but these categories are very similar anyway.

Arguably, the successor category makes a ton more sense than heroes who saved the earth. The successor category is clearly denoting characters who have their roles through succesion/lineage or title. For characters like Vegeta and Frieza, their lineage assisted in securing the roles they got as princes/kings. For characters like Toppo, beerus, and kami, they took a role that signifies their position (destroyer gods, earths protector). Heroes who saved the earth, however, has TONS of characters who belong there because they either helped saved the earth or contributed to actions that indirectly saved the earth. It's a bs category through and through.

Ok "Heroes who protect the Earth" makes much more sense than what Rapid Growth was back in the day, since its just the people who win lol. That explains why Super Gogeta is here, because Janemba ruining Hell sets upon all the hell citizens onto it which Janemba's defeat stops. This would also mean none of the Granolah arc characters would be on here if they ever get units. Interesting omission that I understand is I don't think the Universe 6 tournament characters on it since that arc is about whether or not Champa gets the Earth instead.

It feels like a better name than “successor” would be “title inheritors.” Frieza gains the title emperor of the universe. Vegeta would go from prince to king, Zamasu would’ve become the supreme Kai, piccolo is the reincarnation of DKP, etc…

my only question w the earth defense winner category is why on earth is ssj4 vegeta there? if we use the same logic that the character who lands the winning blow should be there and others who only assist can’t be there, then what gives him the ticket to get on the category? there’s also super gogeta who doesn’t even fight for earth’s sake, but i’ll just assume that he’s there bc he’s gogeta

Hey truth, not sure what you think about this idea, but what if Vegito leads both new categories as a result of the new reverse exchange mechanic potentially working like Legend's tag mechanic. One of the categories is mostly Vegeta whilst the other is mostly Goku. This would also put both Part 1 carnivals and potentially a part 2 DKF Super Gogeta on his team even without the third part of the leader. Plus if he has no restriction this Vegito will be on so many teams. Edit: It would be nice for people to see this as it makes a lot of sense in my o0pinion and saves the carnival leaders for better leader skills, and thinking about it characters with reverse exchange may have the most amount of good categories no matter what. I know that Super Goku, Vegeta, and Vegito don't win their fight and save the planet, however they technically it would work very well for synergy between the summonable characters.

@@danthesensei thanks, thought of more things as well, like the part 2 characters also having these categories and all 6 premiums can be ran under one of the 2 DKF of the anniversary. Also I think the Physical 4s are on here because Gogeta protected the planet by removing the negative energy out of it from the shadow dragon balls when he kicked the minus energy ball.
