I’m thinking about doing a 78 280z similar to the thumbnail. It was wrecked many years ago, entire front end was twisted. But very little rust, floors and trunk near perfect. Cut everything forward of the firewall off. Thinking an open wheel no front sheet metal build to start off. Use the junk fenders and hood I have to make a nose that is pretty much just headlights and grill. Edit: it was hit in the drivers headlight area at an angle. Don’t believe it was a hard hit but the metal is thin so warps easily. You could see the frame rails twisted once the engine and everything was out.

@@JohnnyFabz yeah, I wouldn’t even consider it if the chassis wasn’t so clean

This is awesome, I can't wait to start my v8 build in my 280ZX.

What are you planning on doing with your build? What v8

@@JohnnyFabz Z32 suspension front and rear, IMSA widebody, 4.5L v8 from an Infiniti q45, Z32 manual transmission, and twin turbos. I have all the parts except for the adapter for the transmission and the turbos. I am doing more of a street car build keeping it GT style. Right now I still have the turbo 6 and megasquirt setup in it, I started working on the front bumper then I got deployed. As soon as I finish the daily driver projects and a few customer builds I can start on my Z again. I document everything on my KZbin Channel like you.
