We think our daughter might have another rare genetic trait! She has two different colored eyes, but we also can't figure out if she has a special hair disorder called uncombable hair syndrome! It sounds like a made up syndrome, but it's real! How do we know if our baby for sure has it or not? We try to tame it, but it doesn't last. Her hair is so fluffy! Jess is feeling so exhausted from the pregnancy. The first trimester is rough!

When i was pregnant with my first, my grandmother had just passed away. Throughout my pregnancy i would find random change on my bed and on the floor in my room. Then im watching an episode of John Edwards, and find out that it could be a loved one trying to tell you theyre with you. Maybe Austin's Grandpa is happy because of the pregnancy. 😊😊😊

My daughter's hair was just like Micah's until she was about 3 years old, and then all of a sudden her hair started growing long and thick. She's now nine and we have cut and donated 12 inches of hair twice now.

My youngest daughter had uncontrollable/"uncombable" hair all her life, and it was curly. Micah's is baby soft and fine and will grow out. My older daughter had fine hair and straight, it fluffed out like Micah until her "real" hair came in. I'd steer clear of clips, bows and anything like it. Let her hair be free and have a chance to grow.

Micah is just so adorable. And I think she just has baby hair! Buy with it being so fine, I would probably let it grow a little bit more before tying it up in a ponytail or pigtails! I have always had fine hair, my hair would have been exactly like Micah’s, when I was her age. And it is so fine, plus it is baby hair, so it will break more easily. But she looks absolutely adorable in those hair band bows that you often have on her head. It just makes my heart melt when Micah signs! I love it! It’s amazing that she is able to communicate with you so young and before she has learnt how to talk. I really enjoy your vlogs so much. I can’t have children, so I am really enjoying watching Micah grow up and to be able to witness her learn all these new things. It is so special and I am very appreciative that you guys allow us to enjoy watching Micah grow up. I’m so excited for baby number 2 to come along as well! I’m sure that Micah will be an excellent older sister. 😃🥰

If you put a tiny bit of coconut oil in micahs hair and rub it through leave for hour then wash out if you do this every other day or every 3 it strengthens the hair . And the organic version is safe for micah as its all natural . You can even use it on the dogs. They can eat it aswell its good for them aswell.

Thankfully, Micah doesn't have Uncombable hair syndrome. I knew a little girl with it and her hair was super dry, coarse, and brittle. It broke so easily and felt like hair that has been way overprocessed (like straw). It does not feel like normal hair. In my family, we call what Micah has "dandelion head". A lot of the kids in my family have hair like hers. They tend to outgrow it by about 3 or 4 years old. It is super cute!

I'm so glad to hear from someone who know a person with the syndrome! That confirms it.. I definitely don't think she has it now. Micah's hair is a very fine and soft texture, not like straw as you described. I like the "dandelion hair" though! :D

Funny you mentioned surprising your family and friends. What popped up on my feed yesterday or the day before was the video of you guys surprising your family with being pregnant with Micah! I thought it was super cute to watch again. I can’t wait for the next video. Also too have you guys decided when to cut Micah’s hair? My sister has two boys. Her first born had hair like Micah’s and my sister waited until after his first birthday to shave it all off. It came back nice and thick. The second one came into this world with A LOT of hair. No need to shave for him on his first birthday. I know many different cultures have different preferences on when to cut a baby’s hair. Many of my Hispanic friends wait until their kid is 2 years old to cut their hair.

My daughter Astrid had the same problem as a baby. Really could do much with her hair till she was almost 3. It's just because that baby fine hair doesnt have any weight to it. So it'll start taming down as it grows and has more weight. But you can always try baby lotion. Just a dab or two rubbed in ur hands and smoothed through her hair as needed. Or embrace the fluffyness lol. She's too cute with her little headbands anyways.

When your baby has really straight hair like that it usually means they are going to have really straight hair versus textured hair. I would not think she has uncombable hair syndrome. You wouldnt be able to comb it at all because itll hurt and itll feel very dry

My oldest daughter had hair that stuck straight up. Turns out that my husband is 1/4 Asian and didn't know it (found his dad). I wish I could show you what her hair did lmao.

Definitely not uncomb able hair. It fits her electric personality. Likely just needs some VO5 or spray in oil to calm her fly aways.
