Daughter longs to be free from the responsibilities of looking after her sick mother but at what lengths will she go to get it?
Season 6 "Coming Mama" Dir. By George Stevens Jr.
Lucy Baldwin wishes to marry her boyfriend Arthur. Unfortunately, her domineering mother believes that Arthur is only out for money and she opposes the marriage. When Lucy's mother falls ill, Lucy sees her chance. Lucy slips her a fatal dose of sleeping tonic and her mother dies. Lucy and Arthur are married and Arthur takes Lucy to visit his mother. Unfortunately, Arthur's mother is just as domineering as Lucy's. Since Arthur's mother is ill, Lucy suggests a dose of sleeping tonic to take care of the problem.

If my momma told me such a thing I’d joke about it saying “Well, people tell me I take after you or Poppa,” meaning if I was this much unsightly then I either look like her or like her taste in men. 🤭 My momma told me something else, she said I was nothing! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Who’s she to judge? It hurt me lots when I was younger but over time I realized it shouldn’t have mattered because it was her personal opinion of me.. maybe she had problem seeing my true colors and only saw black and white. 😄 Ahh, I put those negative toxic individuals behind my back. My life’s more peaceful without them.

all of the people in these old movies look way older than they are supposed to be. even the old sherlock holmes they are meant to be in their 30's but look 60's for sure! also this would have ended better if she';s yelled NOOO and threw her ring at him and left lol

Well, when people smoke a lot, like this actress did in her real life, you wind up looking 10-20 years older than you really are.

What really burns me up about possessive parents is that THEY ran off and got married or whatever else they wanted to do with their lives without even thinking twice about their own parents.
