The latest info, really? The daughter of omicron is not a real thing. None of these things are. None of them have ever, repeat Ever, been found in anyone's bodily fluid. Virologists only "find" things in cell culture experiments.

Omicron is weird. In my team of 6 at work we all got it within a couple days of each other. 4 of us are fully vaxxed, 2 aren't and the ages range from 23-50. All the symptoms were the same for everybody, vaxxed or not, same severity. Headache, some fever, a little cough and sneezing,,,mild and pretty much done in 3 days. The worst part is the fatigue that hangs around for a week or so.

That said, he's surely a great nurse and teacher and many Medical Doctors could (and should!) learn from this gentleman how to educate the public in a truthful, objective and unbiased manner.

I don't mean to knock Dr. Campbell, but why are we talking about Omicron like it's a real object? Using EUA "tests" that have never undergone ANY validation studies to "diagnose" people. All the while, these alleged "v ! r uses" have never once been seen or captured directly from someone's fluid sample. People don't seem to realize that virologists only "find" things in cell culture experiments. Never directly from a person's fluid sample. Meaning this whole "v ! r us" belief is just that - A Belief. Pictures of random particles in a petri dish that were never shown to come from a person don't mean "v ! r us".

Emergency Use Authorization is not based on newly discovered technology but rather years of study in order to validate its conception and practice. So your opinion appears to lack credulity. If the omicron variant was not discovered as one existing in patients, where else would it have come from? Oh right, you believe it came from a Petri dish with no human involved. Only 17,371 deaths purely from so called covid with no other underlying causes: The UK government have spent nearly 400 billion dealing with "covid". In the course of all of this we have damaged the education of millions of children, left millions of elderly lonely people in a state of depression, many left to rot in care homes with the privilege of saying good bye to close family though zoom calls, closed down hundreds and thousands of small businesses who were simply in the wrong sector and have gone bust, and we did it all because we were told that this could be an event that would kill vast numbers of people. But this new revelation has really made people sit up and think and it's this. The Freedom of Information Request was put to the Office National Statistics and it simply asked this question: "Please could advise on deaths purely from covid with no other underlying causes'. And the number 17,371. Now I know that's over 17 thousand human beings and each one of those is a tragedy... but just think about that number. Consider that nearly 1.5 million people die in this country on average every two years. We have been through two years of on off lockdowns over the past two years, rights and privileges taken away, thousands of life saving surgeries cancelled, serious illnesses undiagnosed and we find out that only 17,371 people died of covid with no other underlying conditions.

@@galations22o John Campbell is a retired nurse educator. He is not a medical doctor or a scientist. In fact, he is abysmally lacking in knowledge of science in general and clinical trial design in particular. This is why he gets so many things wrong - about ivermectin, megadoses of vitamin D, zinc supplements, and aspiration before injection. He is way out of his depth speaking about these subjects. He has been sent corrections by at least four scientists which he has completely ignored even though he has invited feedback by anyone who thinks he has gotten something wrong. This means he is dishonest as well as lacking in knowledge about the subjects on which he speaks. He has lost the respect of many in the scientific community including former colleagues for the misinformation he is spreading during this deadly pandemic.

If everybody is prepared, there is no need to worry as hell, it will sooner or later catch us all for now, and in my case I cannot say I will have regrets in case things will still look Bad even if vaccinated. @@csscents5673 The mutation process is natural and doesn't necessarily means it's more harmful. However I get it, I'm tired of this shit since a long time already. What bothers me the most is how it got in most people's brain, fearful deers looking to be reassured is a very dangerous thing ( even here, see how many people treat John Campbell like their prophet, not to offence the man but still ), this attitude is the opposite of being alive. And nothing will ever bring all that wasted time back. We live in a society of old scared people. Not to mention the political use of the virus. I still don't get over the fact that legally, a bartender can check both my vaccine pass and my ID, like a police officer. As opposed to the Constitution, in France. Living in the Philippines throughout this pandemic. Literally every household I know here has experienced omicron symptoms since Xmas. Almost nobody gets tested (due to cost/accessibility) - so the statistics here are a tiny fraction of the actual contagion. Interesting if it's the a2 version. We had the same quick peak that is described in many nations; and seem to have started dropping swiftly in cases since around a week ago. Hospitalizations and deaths have remained minimal. What's worse is that govt and LGUs have panicked at the case surge and imposed strict new lockdowns. They need to watch this channel! Many people can't access basic supplies because of vaccine restrictions on public transport, malls and shops etc. People are suffering if not vaccinated - but that's not their fault because it isn't vaccine hesitancy, but rather low supply of vaccine, which explains why so many aren't vaccinated yet.

Ran J you aren't considering the catalyst effect civic has with comorbidities. Maybe you should investigate how many people with comorbiditis and civic died who wouldn't have died by their underlying conditions alone. Or is it easier to quote one stat and try to make people think you're intellectually superior. I lost many friends during this pandemic who had managable conditions but caught covid and then their conditions flared up much worse and lost the battle. They don't show up in your simplified statistic. Yes, many of the responses to the pandemic were ineffective and some have their own negative side effects, but we will never know what the death rates would have been had we done nothing.

Dr. Campbell, you make everything so fundamentally simple to understand - Thank you! Now for a larger challenge:- Can you try to explain to the government and health authorities in British Columbia, that within a couple of weeks, we will be into an endemic situation, with a disease that can and will expose itself to everyone - and that no attempts to retain all of the restrictions of 2021 are essentially useless. I could understand an initial attempt to restrict large events and even group sizes in order to slow down the spread to the point where essential service personnel are not all off work at once. BUT, we are over this short-term crisis, and well on the way to an endemic stage. Yet, the BC government are insisting on maintaining many of the restrictions, including retaining Vaccine Passports through to the end of June, 2022!!! To me this is a sad attempt to try to punish those who chose not to get the vaccine. Knowing that everyone of us, including myself who is triple vaccinated, are equally as liable to be spreading the disease. It angers me to think that politicians can use their position of power to exert one last penalty on the non-compliant anti-vaccinated; but, in doing so impose many of the restrictions on the vaccinated amongst us who deserve to enjoy the freedom that we have earned after 2 years of compliance. To me, only bullies resort to such evil practices (I will refrain from any comments on the PM of Canada - could you have a chat with Elizabeth and ask her to check out her colony across the Atlantic - we desperately need some help!!!) Thank you and do keep up your common-sense presentations.

A friend and her family just got omicron together. They are in Italy now. They all were vaccinated and had the booster too. They did get sick, especially with the amount of coughing, sinus headaches and general fatigue. When they tested positive, to their credit they immediately isolated and developed symptoms that lasted a week. They also took vitamin D per my recommendation, but the effects were not as mild as has been reported. They do have a lingering cough and related issues but I have assured them that with rest, they should heal over time.

I had the sinus headaches too. The first day it was horrendous. I felt physically sick with it. Omicron really affected my sinuses but any cold I have does. On the 6th day I had another severe sinus headache and felt awful but after that I felt better and within 3 days was clear and out walking and 2 weeks since I was clear I’m back running Pilates classes, running and going to the gym although I’m not pushing it and still a bit fatigued.

My sister also suffered from omicron. We r in pakistan. It started with headache for one day. Then next day fever started which was around 101 and it remained for 7 days . Never completely ceasing. Only coming down to 99. After 7 days fever subsided. Strange thing is that the headache is again occurring after 8 days along with cough. Dont know what is this

Everyone is getting it in my community in Michigan. My household has it currently. We also had it the first week of April 2020 during the first wave. We were immune during Delta. This wave is hitting fast. It is infecting my throat and upper bronchials. Seems to be easy to cough up mucous where in the first wave I could not get it up well at all. I was much sicker first go round too. We have rode out our natural immunity without the vaxx. I got one Moderna shot and got sick for 3 days, so we didn’t go further with the shots with having natural immunity. Thank you for the updates

I'm in metro Detroit, I had delta in late November into early December. It wasn't easy but it wasn't as bad as it was for some people I know. I see omicron going around here too but I'm hoping there is enough immunity in me to avoid this round.

Our twins caught covid just before Christmas but it was no worse than a mild cold as they were vaccinated. Normally my wife and I catch everything they bring home but despite looking after them we didn't catch it. Pobably because we got boosted in November. We had no reaction to the AstraZeneca vaccine but the Moderna booster made us feel rough for a day with elevated temperatures.

Similar here, we got hit by A in Mar 20, triple vaxxed in 21, missed D, now getting hit hard by O. With A we got fever and chesty cough. With O definitely upper respiratory, no fever but streaming nose, sore mouth and throat and continual cough have been miserable.

How long have the people in your household have symptoms. Me and my SO was pretty sick for 2 weeks so we think it was the delta variant but that’s just my hunch.

US here and I am so disgusted with the way the media and the government have presented this outbreak from onset. It seems that all they care about it keeping people terrified. Seems they feel we are too stupid to understand and we are not being told the truth. Thank you Dr. at last someone with the public safety at heart and wanting to keep them informed.

Covid will keep infecting us every year like flu and cold viruses. Vaccines will not stop this, but they are useful to prevent deaths in the vulnerable/elderly.
