I believe that conversation matters; that long form nuanced conversation is what we need now more than ever, to make the world a better place. And for me, part of that means exposing ourselves to new ideas, new concepts and new ways of thinking that we may previously have not been exposed to. This week’s guest on my Feel Better Live More Podcast is someone who fits that bill perfectly.

This information is so needed and incredible. As I got older, I had an intuitive knowing that the doctors were not helping, in fact, hurting. For years I tried to find the cause for my dis-ease. I can’t get a doctor to understand me and connect to me. I gave up on seeing any doctors. I now self-educate. This interview was so validating.

@@DukeGMOLOL What segment of food production do you work in? It would appear you have a different understanding (or use of the term) of Permaculture or perhaps have it pigeonholed into a concept that is only a small segment.....like people thinking "food forests" would work for the entire population. I have 45 years' experience (family actually dates at least to 1822 farming in Florida from England ((that is just one part, not the indigenous, Italian or other relatives)) working with land projects......which has encompassed more recent row crop production farming, greenhouse farming, orchards, permaculture farms (that would include several on our team of 8 that range from mushroom growers to one with masters in livestock management), designing organic farms, aquaculture, microgreen production, etc. Not to guess or speculate too much but if you are comparing how I see some people think of "permaculture" vs. what has be come "traditional" farming methods in the US then I would say the later is certainly on a "starvation" path.....it has degraded the soils horribly and cannot sustain.
@DukeGMOLOL
@DukeGMOLOL 2 жыл бұрын
@@gabrieln3613 Ok Gabriel, if modern farming methods are leading us on a starvation path then certainly you agree that substantially overall lower yielding methods that rip more land from nature to grow the same amount of food will lead us down the same path. Much quicker I think.
@gabrieln3613
@gabrieln3613 2 жыл бұрын
@@DukeGMOLOL Sustainability is the key. The measure I go by, whatever the appearance or method: 1. Is the soil being improved over time? more organic matter, increased wildlife diversity including microorganisms especially. 2. Are outside inputs used being decreased or eliminated, especially fossil fuels. Example: There is a chicken farm I know, they have 500,000 birds- 100% outside on pasture, feed is bugs, grasses, weeds, etc. no medicines or hormones ever, no inputs. Can you get as many pounds of food on same amount as a big factory operation? On appearance no but those operations require fields of grain, fossil fuels to bring in feeds, etc. not sustainable. Same with chickens for eggs, naturally feeding on pasture, food scraps, compost, bugs, etc. only lay half the eggs but so what. They are helping build up soil too. Proper farming methods do not "take" from the land. I have extended family with largest watercress operation in world, it's fed in combination with Tilapia fish, self supporting/sustaining system, sure it requires land but it's not "taking away" and deteriorating the land. A couple basic examples.

Wow! Mind blown 🤯 ❤! This is speaking my language- I left my health care career as a physical therapist years ago - for so much of what has been shared here - Of course, still wanting to make a difference- but feeling deeply the disconnection from our true, deeply powerful selves -that our health care system perpetuates! I now teach and coach in all areas of helping with ‘the remembering’ of our most powerful, born worthy and sovereign beings - and this work that both of you are doing - is inspiring me like crazy!! Thank you - both of you!!! 🤩💓

I am learning a lot on this podcast, it’s almost like Traditional medicine is making a come back before pill medicine became our only cure. I am a very competitive person too, I enjoy winning in many competitions and I am proud of myself, I thought I was the chosen one, but after listening this podcast, now I think I am a cancer cell. The whole society is now in a wrong direction, We want win win win, we are taught to win in the school, win in the company, win in everywhere. But now I realize: The strongest cancer cell is still a cancer cell.

Dr. ZACH is doing a great service to attempt this wakeup. Been following him about 3 years. Because of keto he somehow dropped into my YT. Fascinating and he can talk so fast with a ton of information which my Mother, as a nurse, tried to teach 80 years ago. She thought nutrition and prevention should be taught in med school. Unfortunately the excitement people feel was known by Native American and Black farmers for a long time. They understand the connection we have lost. Good luck to all. Thank you Dr. Zach Bush. So happy that you hooked up with farmers like Gabe Brown who farm Regeneratively. There is hope.

First of all, thank you Dr. Chatterjee for letting Zach speak at length on the topic. Both of you are voices that need to be heard. Zach is spot-on that we are racing toward our own demise, and economic forces support this path continuing. There’s an argument that innovation and technology will solve any problem that threatens the ability for human life to carry on. There are numerous examples that proponents of this view use as support, and they’re not wrong. However, there may come a point in which we will have upset both our personal ecosystems and the overall ecosystem to such an extent that they becomes beyond repair. Whether technology, human innovation and our instinctive drive to survive and thrive will overcome, of course, remains to be seen. Nevertheless, one thing is certain. As we continue to turn to technology for answers, we turn away from everything that Zach is talking about - stillness, harmony, innate knowledge, and true health. But the essence of Zach’s message is not one of doom and gloom. It’s one of hope and possibility. Zach’s vision will, of course, resonate with most all people who watch this video (because they are the kind of people intrigued by this). But there are also masses of people who think differently. Regardless of what side you’re on, and putting aside the notion of our potential self-caused demise, if you accept what Zach is saying and apply it at the personal level, there is little doubt that it will be a positive experience - even if all you do is stop for a moment and breathe, or take a walk out in nature. Zach, thanks for openly sharing your journey and your fascinating perspectives with us. Both you and Dr. Chatterjee are very much appreciated.
