“We didn’t sign up to be caretakers when we became parents” , isn't that what parenting is all about?.legally, parents are obliged to care for their children until they are 18! They had the means to help, but were too lazy to treat her as if she’s a human being. There is a huge amount of people who should never have children, wish they realized it instead of being selfishIt blows my mind when lazy parenting is the only reason she suffered, Maybe one person could have spoken up and helped, but there's also plenty of cases where people did report to CPS /police and nothing was done.I don't understand why they didn't put her in a place that would take care of her???

Then stop watching/ supporting the evil and go support the many, many channels that support good. Hope For Paws is a great one to start, saving animals and such. Or lots of charities, community service events, church activities, etc. Big names like that Ocean project that's cleaning up the island of plastic in the Pacific, engineers straining rivers worldwide of litter, or Team Trees and the annual ecological events. There's always Mr. Beast and his plethora of altruistic videos. Don't give attention seekers like Greta Thunberg more clout, instead find and support those who actually do make a difference than just complaining (like your comment, ngl). Humans are animals. People are disciplined humans. People are capable of falling to our animalistic urges, violence and territory and such, like everything else with a lizard brain and survival instincts. But people are also capable of doing good and making things for others. Stop watching humans like some nat geo documentary on chimps fighting. Go support people who put in the work and make the world a better place.

They changed their not guilty of 2nd degree murder to No Contest to manslaughter. Both received 40 years. No Contest isn’t an admittance of guilt but the defendants are aware that the overwhelming evidence would be enough to convict them.

Funny how this comment is not in response to aa question, you legit just feel the need to educate on the difference between gulty and no contest pleas - yet cannot differentiate "they face up to 40 years" and "they received 40 years" big discrepancy there, don't you think? They haven't been sentenced yet. It could be and probably will be way different than that. Sentencing on the 20th.

"Oh my god, this so bad you guys. Seriously. So bad." @@tabularasa7775 Agreed, they have, but majority of those types of crimes are drug related or mental illness in an episode. These two parents were loved in their community and helpful to others. Make it make sense? Well, of course we cant but I simply cannot wrap my head around that when they left the house that they didn't carry the smell with them. Poop and Pee is one thing but a body that's essentially been dying for a long time plus bones protruding out of skin and melted into couch? That's an odor that I don't understand how no one caught it ever. If that happened in my neighborhood, every house had school age children and we all knew one another. If I found out one of my acquaintances was just sitting at home I would visit. If told sleeping but I caught that odor, NOTHING would keep me from calling 911. Edit- 59 years old now. I wonder how they were able to keep it together for so many years. Since they knew they would call 911 since they made no attempt to move her. Oof

Autistic people are some of the nicest people and their childlike nature gives them a positive outlook on life. I live 30 miles from here. The most recent statement from the parents attorney is disgusting "They were negligent, yes. It is clear they were negligent. They loved her to death - that is the true statement with the Fletchers. They loved their daughter to death,” defense attorney Steven Moore said during the hearing, according to the Daily Mail. “When you look back at it, you wonder, why? How could this happen? It did happen. But at no point did Sheila or Clay Fletcher ever have a single intent to harm their daughter. They loved their daughter to a fault,” he said.

Just started watching. I heard the assistant to the prosecutor as just that only an assistant, not like an assistant DA/prosecutor.

OKay, she had ulcer s in her skin. IS this something you can fight in court? Could any of that be from decomposing? How would you defend this case?

You 2 fluff around way tooo much, I love it. Keep up the good work. Witnessing a genercide in real time as well as the many horror stories of how others treat each other proves there's no limits to human depravity

I'm a regular listener.... and idk what's up with Talia on this one, but it almost sounds like you drank a little too much before doing this episode 😂

Whenever the old homeschool starts sh*t hits the fan. These homeschooled children need to have oversight by professionals. There are also special needs schools they couldn't be bothered with her well being. Despicable people still walking around. I believe sentencing is February 20th

Wait a minute girls, hi how you doing? Just caught your pod cast tonight. What kind of lawyer are you two it can't be criminal. Do you only cover murders? I just found about this story tonight. It is bad Is it Ed Gain: Weird? or Dahmer? ( stopped to write this) You never saw crime scene photos? I'm a single mother to one, she drove me insane when she turned teenager...back to your video.. crime is not your thing. Did you ever see a horror film and slasher? Your describing it like its the first one. I liked that you tried..next time, have the other one tell this kind of story. She looks like she watched true crime. Good luck I'll watch the next one

I'm really glad you guys found these two ladies! Just the way they look at the camera and the reaction and stuff is great. I like seeing other women just talking and going back and forth about a case; wish i had someone to do that with lol. Next best thing, watching you guys!
