This drummer just isn't getting it done. Not keeping anything original about the song at all

Every drummer is different ya know. In this case, I’m glad Chris was able to find a drummer that adds some extra flare to the beats yet keeps the song and rhythm tight!

Haha funny that you commented. Actually, I thought he did very well. In my opinion, he kept the original feel of the song, yet added his own flare. I mainly noticed his slightly more detailed fills during the crowd chants/vamp drop-outs. However, the drummer did change the open hi-hat groove of the Chorus to a ride crash groove. Personally, I like both of these choices about as much. I, myself, tend to ponder using a crash-type groove or open hi-hat all the time as interchangeable, two slightly different flavors serving the same general purpose. However, I will admit I was surprised not to hear the open hi-hat on this song... And I do believe after hearing it that way so many times, I may prefer it with the open hi-hat. But of course, this all comes as no surprise.......... SORRY, HAD TO!

@@emotionalrelation997 flare is great. Trust me, I would know. No, I am not jealous this man got the job, because I never interviewed for Chris. I like this drummer alot and he really shows his skill on Chris' new songs. I like them alot. Can't name myself, must be anonymous. I'm sure you'd understand :) But, when I go out and play with my current group, I tend to keep the original drummers touch in mind when we are covering the originals that got my boss to where he is in the first place, just my opinion. Professionalism, afterall.
