Definitely, king are one of my favorite fish to catch. I just love how they make the reel scream.

Thanks, it looked a lot worse then it felt. I’m just glad we were able to keep fishing and have a good day.

@@GULF2BAY Anytime you can take your boy out for the day - it's a good day. All mine are young adults now and they still love to fish. Maybe they'll take their old man when I slow down!

A while back, a long while back I was tossing several rods from the boat to the carport to be cleaned after a fishing trip when a hook caught my little finger. You know the hook was on a king rig in my finger and the rod was on the ground creating tension on the line. Ouch!!! Hook had to be pushed through. I feel your pain.

Howdy from Texas. Y'all are awesome!!! I'm gonna guess Riley is 7yrs and Bryce is 5yrs? I grew up in Texas, huntin and fishin with my dad, have reeled in Amberjack, Kingfish, Red Snapper, Shark and Speckled Trout. My dad would filet the Kingfish, line the grill with foil, poke holes all over the foil with a fork, grill with Bar-b-Que sauce, it flakes apart and I think it's delicious. Your dad's recipe looks really good too. I'm ready to go to the Gulf Coast again. You got a sub, for sure.

My kid is 6 now. He’d love to fish with yall. I wanna ask if there’s a technical reason why you use the fake butter (margarine) instead of real butter? So it won’t burn? I’m assuming I could just deep fry it air fry if I wanted right?

I didn’t know it went so far in my arm. I tried to pull it out when it first happened thinking I was barely hooked but it wouldn’t budge. The only way that thing was coming out was to push it through.
