They really were! All of them! I do love Thailand too, but that's one downside of living there is the language barrier. You can usually communicate with locals in broken English there, but it's not the same as speaking to someone who grew up speaking English every day like many do in Philippines

different vibes Thailand is a tourist commercial magnet but there are no thai children in Thailand, Thailand has the 3rd lowest birthrate in asia and with a declining population, Its economy will be surpassed by Vietnam and Philippines in less than 5 years time. I guess its a battern buddhism = low birthrate, China, Japan, Thailand etc

I've experienced Kadayawan many years ago in 1998 and we* (w/ officemates for our office Camera Club shoots) enjoyed it very much. There were various schools competition with varying nice costumes and dances. Then we ate at Kanaway restaurant with delicious seafoods dishes.

There’s a lot to do on Cebu island for sure.. it’s a massive island. Davao is quite different than I expected! Even though it's the largest city in Mandanao, it doesn't feel like a large city because most buildings seem to be under three stories tall with trees all around the city. I like that about it! Roxas night market seems to be the place to go after 5pm.

@@travelescapesOFFICIAL there are tall buildings in lanang, bajada, ecoland, roxas.... its far apart and spread out that's why you can't notice it... davao also has height restriction with their buildings... tallest is 30 plus stories and less than 40 only...
