Jamaican duo who scored only the second UK West Indian reggae chart topper. It became the first reggae single to reach the Top 30 of the US Billboard Hot 100 peaking at number 22.

High Rotation on "The Big 89", WLS, Chicago back in 1971. Also, in the jukebox at Stan"s Arcade in Janesville, Wisconsin during that time, as well!

'Israelites' was the first Reggae single to reach the US Billboard Hot 100 before 'Double Barrel' and but the other reggae chart-toppers like Ken Boothe's version of Everything I Own didnt reach the U.S. chart summit because Bread had their original version over there.
