I once in my Dj career had the privilege to be Dave Angel for a night as he missed his flight and had to catch a cab 8 hours from my city (Melbourne to Adelaide). The crowd had thought i was Dave Angel... was a great set. Dave eventually showed ( 5 am) and played a good Dave Angel set.

Yes, Dave arrived very late...you and the rest of us were pretty happy to see him finally turn up....respect brother, you played a monster turn well past your set time and were rinsing the b-sides to keep the vibe, really well played we thought 👏 He must have been amped from the nervous energy in the limo coming over and went full throttle from track 1 - the place went mental.

Love this guy, one of my first vinil was from this guy back in 98. Kind of forgot about him, but today I decided to see if I could find one of his recent sets. Lastbtime I saw him was before cdj's when to be a dj, you would need to mix with ears and not looking to boms. Great set, got that old school morning techno vibe with good pace and constant hands o decks with no pointless funny around.

I keep coming back to this set. I really like it. I've been a bit uninspired by techno recently. I don't know if it's got a timeless feel about it but this mix has classic sounds, tons of groove, a bit of mood yet it's fun and bouncy in that same way you grin from ear to ear at someone dancing next to you. Dave is clearly working hard to knock out a dynamic well mixed set and he's also really enjoying it by the looks of it. It's been great to read comments on You Tube ad sound cloud from people who were there who connected with this set as well.
