I had the pleasure of watching Dave Blaney at Super Dirt Week in Syracuse NY In the 90’s. He was always fast in his sprint car, but to watch him drive a Dirt Big Block. He did stuff that nobody else would do. Very smart driver.

Eldora Clash. 1997. Now called Knight Bedore. My favorite Blaney moment. Rained till midnight. Dave rode that wall like a madman. Never saw a sprint run that fast before or since! Thanks for the memories.

I've been lucky to have watched Lou Blaney growing up locally in the sprint cars and modifieds then followed Dave only one season before he started traveling was impressive to see how fast he had gotten while on the road, same for Dale as he got his opportunity as well. Spent alot of time around this family in northwestern Pa and northeast Ohio. Famous in our area for sure.

Having followed winged sprint cars since 1980, one of the best races I attended involved Dave Blaney and Leland McSpadden at Manzanita Motor Speedway in 84 or 85. Dave was a young man driving for Gary Stanton. Leland was driving for the Bailey Brothers and started pole. Dave started 8th. Keep in mind , Manzanita was Leland’s home track and he was probably in his late 50s. Leland was very fast and smooth in-spite of his age. Dave Blaney caught him in about 6 laps. They changed leads for almost 24 laps. That race was incredible. Leland ultimately won but it was truly one of the best races I have ever witnessed. Mr. Blaney, it has been a pleasure watching you race sir.

Thanks for proving the small block Cleveland Ford is the best Sprint Car motor ever made, Dave. We Ford fans will forever be grateful to you for that. You too Bobby Davis Jr.

LOL.. IF THAT WAS TRUE EVERYBODY WOULD HAVE ONE…? WHATS WRONG WITH THE WINDSER..? DO YOU WANT ANY ENGINE TO BE ALOWED INCLUDING FOREIGN BIG DOLLAR STUFF ? FORD PEOPLES ALWAYS GO TO THE CLEVELAND STUFF WHICH IS BASICALLY A SMALL BIG BLOCK .. IT WAS SO EXPENSIVE TO KEEP IT TO STAY TOGETHER WASNT IT..? WE STREET RACED SMALL BLOCK CHEVYS FOR YEARS AND YEARS AND NEVER LOST TO A FORD . WE HEARD THE CLEVELAND WAS A CANTED HORSEPOWER MONSTER BUT NOBODY HAD ONE EXCEPT BOB GLIDDEN.. YOU CAN DO SOME CHECKING ON THIS BUT IVE READ THAT THE BIG BLOCK CHEVROLET HAS THE BEST FLOWING DEVELOPED HEADS ON THE MARKET TODAY (N.A.) SHOULD THE BIG BLOCK CHEVROLET BE ALLOWED IN OUTLAW SPRINT CARS …? 😮🏁🏆

Having retired at age 53, I am now in my early 60s. Many pushed back against me, unable to understand the idea of not working if it's not necessary. I perceived phases in my life. In my latter years, I owe it to myself to "stop and smell the roses," even if I worked very hard to obtain what I have now. For me, after retiring, I departed the nation and now reside in Latin America. It made me appreciate my new surroundings while removing myself from all the bad things that were going on in America. Nobody I've met regrets retiring, as far as I know.

Nice way to retire. For me, I believe retirees who struggle to meet their basic needs are the ones who could not accumulate enough money during their active years to meet their needs. Retirement choices determine a lot of things. My wife and I both spent same number of years in the civil service, she invested through a wealth manager and myself through the 401k. We both still earning after our retirement fund has grown way more than it would have with just the 401(k). Haha.

It's unfortunate most people don't have such information. I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than a million dollars by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Doesn't matter if the economy is misbehaving; great wealth managers will always make returns.

I think this is something I should do, but I've been stalling for a long time now. I don't really know which firm to work with; I feel they are all the same but it seems you’ve got it all worked out with the firm you work with so i surely wouldn’t mind a recommendation.

I definitely share your sentiment about these firms. Finding financial advisors like *Layan Talia Chokr* who can assist you shape your portfolio would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.
