@Nick Traeger in all fairness I posted my original comment before listening to the entire podcast. I'm also disappointed that people I respect(ed) are buying into turning the tables of discrimination instead of trying to move forward together. As the God-awful-father of anti-racism, Ibram Kendi says, "the only remedy to past discrimination is current discrimination and the only remedy to current discrimination is future discrimination". That sounds an awful lot like an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind and it punishes my children of something they are not guilty of. To me, that makes no sense and only serves to divide us against ourselves. People that don't support BLM are not pro-racism they are pro-thoughtful discussion and resent the aggressively enforced inability to engage in one.

Several people involved with the show confirmed this, they barely got paid for the 2 seasons because it started as an experiment with a C/D list celebrity. The show was 2.5 seasons in and they were negotiating an extension; at this point, the show was a huge hit so he had some leverage during negotiations. The reason he stepped away was because they wanted him to tone down his show and language to attract more sponsors and a wider audience. I read the first comment and the last one in this thread, and it just makes me no sense. How did this conversation progress this quickly? I'm convinced you're all bots that make random replies and the guy running the bots is just laughing at everyone taking the bait.

@@limitisillusion7 the 2nd comment literally calls Joe and Dave free masons, so I questioned that because I don't agree. But yeah sure I'm a bot lmao

this makes me happy! I'm sure every celebrity stands in awe for Dave now. The level of patience to achieve such a thing is stunning and everyone else would give up! Goes to show how far being wise gets you.

The fact that Dave simultaneously keeps up this amazing social interest and popularity but still finds time away to just be a good dude.

Everyone is a fan boy of Dave. You’d be silly not to be a fan of one of the greatest comedians of our times. Hands down the 🐐 👑

not to belittle a legend cause funny people have ways of trying to do so

I watch a lot of comedy and chappelle never stood out to me. There's definitely some stuff I like but not stuff I go back to Everyone has their own taste. Some people only like clean comedy. It doesn't mean i don't recognize that he's considered one of the greats. There's other big names I don't care for too.

@@limitisillusion7 I understand where you’re coming from it all depends how you were raised everyone has a different opinion but growing up early 2000s Dave and he’s few others were huge but everyone has that one person they can connect to. I respect everyone’s opinion
