One of Dave's very best sets. It's truly a masterclass in DJing.

I also had it on tape but only the first 15mins, was stoked when I found my mate had it but I only heard it once in full after a good night out. Finally bothered to look for it on the web.

Recorded this on tape off the radio 22 years ago. Saw Dave Clarke a few times in the late 90's at Birmingham's House of God and Atomic Jam and still listen to this mix now when I want to tear myself a new one on Zwift or some nosebleed HIIT session. A true masterpiece that stands the test of time. Love it.

These sounds like hardcore compared to the tempo of techno nowadays.

Nowdays the dance music scene is almost dead. Parties from 90s was real parties where it was about music. Techno was lifestyle not chance to get photo for (a)social media near DJ (wtih CDJs) ... People danced, screamed, whistle, spoke to each other, of course drugs, DJs played not spit champaigne around and showing hearts and I dont know what kind of "home" signs". The whole idea was somewhere else as it is now. Miss that time.

Its starting speeding up again. Techno morphs to reflect the anger and disenchantment of the youth.
