Great video Dave! The LMP3 is by far my favorite car on the service... I promise that you will have a moment where it just "clicks" and then it becomes addicting. It is truly a car where less is more, and underdriving the car rewards you! Some of my favorite moments are mind-punting competitors by forcing them to overdrive the car when you apply the pressure - Highly recommend!

I am not good at them yet, but I feel that way about the Formula Vs. Drive them easy and they are fast, start pushing it and it becomes a mess to deal with.

This has to be my favourite car I've driven so far in iRacing. Been hammering it all week to very little success but loved it the whole time. Once you learn the quirks of it and know how to avoid death it's so rewarding. It has incredible engine braking so in a straight line braking zone (like into the hairpin) you can brake a cone set later and slam down the gearbox and it gets stopped Downshift too early around sunset and you'll find yourself staring at it :D

Dave as a heads up, if you are running with HDR on, if you go into the monitor.ini file and change the "auto exposure" value to 0, you'll still get all the bloom-like effects of HDR without the blindly bright sun which can be absolutely awful at sunset.

I went to the opening IndyCar race in St. Pete Florida and these guys (with GT4’s) were one of the support series, they looked and sounded awesome so I went home and bought it. Such good fun!!

LMP3 is my absolute favorite car ive driven on iRacing. Once you can figure out how to make it not kill you, and how to brake its a BLAST to drive and an amazing series. I ran 2 seasons of GT4/LMP3. Season 1 in GT4, did Okay in the Merc. Season 2 decided to run LMP3 and really found my stride. Gained about 650 iR in one season up to 1.3k, then eventually hit IMSA and lost majority of those gains because IMSA

I know this is iracing and I need to try it out sooner or later. But on the Assetto Corsa side of things, I just love blasting the Toyota Racing GR010 Hybrid in Nurburgring hours on end. I just wished they added the car in ACC too now that ACC got Nordschleife.

This race really proves that consistency is better than pace. Pace is important, but if you can't keep it on the track, all that speed means nothing.

Damn good race, Dave. I just bought the LMP3 myself, fun to drive but absolutely hate that you can't see out the damn thing. Also, people if you're not running RaceLabs or some other type of overlay that has a track map, get one so that if you spin you can see if there is traffic around so you can do safe rejoins. Hate when people spin and just come out in front of everyone to get back on track.

Dave, in 2024 what's your favorite Wheel? If the Fanatec Formula V2 was 300mm, it would be a perfect wheel for me. But, it's tiny at 270mm. Of the top top brands, I see pros and cons of many. You've put several through the paces, so I was just curious

The rig lit up like a christmas tree for that white flag so I'm guessing the big secret is something to do with LED strips or something. To get rid of those erroneous CrewChief fuel warnings, try enabling "experimental fuel" in the settings which should be a bit more reliable than the older algorithm. Record your pitstops when practising for even better accuracy / strategy advice for races that have a stop.

Hey Dave, great run. How do you feel about the North American Tracks? I’m in NJ USA and I struggle with tracks across the pond. Whenever we’re in England, Italy, or other European Countries I feel way out of sorts. Especially Japan, I feel like Japanese pavement lacks grip. I would say I have less experience on non USA tracks, maybe that’s it. But you seem to be proficient everywhere you run. Any thoughts?

Yep I guess it's just down to tracks were familiar with no struggle at the likes of barber or mosport just because I don't 'know them'. All the American tracks are awesome 😁

Even with nice pedals ( he ultimates ) the lmp is unforgiving. The Porsche on steroids. I go from driving a 2010 yaris by day to driving the lmp by night lol.
