He didn't even create the character, it was a George Lucas idea to have a young female padawan to Anakin. That was her only purpose, make Anakin look more mature. But then, Dave made her his 2D gilfirend that cheats death and travels through time and dimensions, kicking ass on her way.

Oh gee someone giving some praise to the Lucasfilm President - who wouldn't as an underling (to a point anyways - this was a very limited in scope also) - it was just about casting, which to me is more like I'm trying my best to try to find a compliment to actually give you so I'll at least give you that. Edit - not to say casting isn't important - and that might actually be one of the very few things that hasn't been bad post Lucas.

People blame Kathleen Kennedy for decanonizing the Legends material really don't understand it was Dave Filoni and George Lucas from The Clone Wars. Sure they adopted ideas from the expanded universe, but other creative teams from Disney's Star Wars have been doing the same thing.
