Friedman’s popular Twin Sister was designed for guitarists that wanted a Vintage Classic Rock tone inspired by British tube amps from the 60’s and 70’s. Please welcome the Little Sister!
The Little Sister is a 20-watt, EL84 powered, single channel head or 1x12” combo based on it’s 40-watt predecessor, but still delivers the signature British tone Friedman has become known for. The amp features one channel that can give you everything from gorgeous sparkling cleans to a glorious vintage crunch. Extremely versatile, the Little Sister can produce many styles of music from blues to rock and country by just adjusting the gain and master, S-Switch (gain structure) and B Switch (Bright/Tight).
The handcrafted in the USA cabinetry features tongue and groove Baltic Birch construction, and the combo houses a 16 ohm, 12” Celestion Creamback G12M-65 speaker that deliver the bass, mid response and signature sound you would expect from a Friedman amplifier.
The Little Sister features all the beautiful finishing and solid construction that you would expect from a Friedman amplifier. Designed to take pedals and loves boosts, OD’s, phasers, flangers, tremolos and wahs, while the ultra-transparent series effects loop handles your time-based effects pedals and rack units.

This amp is so much more than what you just heard. I'm a bit surprised they didn't at least doing a few seconds with a strat. With a LP it get's SUPER tight, and punchy. Then with a strat, with that tight switch off you get incredibly warm bluesy tones. And, it cleans up incredibly well. I don't touch the gain, or eq knobs when changing genres. All I do is just flip the toggles. The way Dave has it setup, those toggle switches are incredibly dramatic. Which is a LOT easier than having to constantly readjust your eq knobs, given it's a one channel amp. *Something else I learn about this amp is that with Legendary Tones Hot Mod Evo 2, it launches this amp into the stratosphere, when it comes to those 80's hard-rock tones. This amp can get a bit muddy with the gain dimed out (IMO). The Hot Mod tighten the gain up, and make is incredibly punchy, and percussive.* I originally went into the store to get the PT 20 v2, and when playing them side-by-side, I couldn't believe how much warmer, and more musical, and versatile the LS was (to my ears). And, as stated, I get the eq set, and never touch it again...I just use the gain structure/tightness toggles. I'm sure I'll add the JEL 20 to my collection at some point....but, this amp is an incredible, versatile, little amp, that covers every guitar hero genre us old guys grew up listening to in the 70's and 80's. And, don't forget the Hot Mod! Thanks for posting this N Stuff!

I played the Little Sister combo at N Stuff. I’ve never played an amp that had such an “immediate response” that I’ve always heard people talk about. I swear, it seemed like I heard the notes before I picked it!

I wish demos on amps were done without additional effects added so I can hear just what the amp is doing, at least to begin with. That echo or reverb was annoying. If you want to show how good it is with pedals and effects do it after presenting the amp alone.
