Rivers has nice connected singing voice where he can sing in the high range without much effort. Compare how easy it is for him and Kurt to sing this to Matt Bellamy from Muse covering it at a festival. Matt Bellamy pushes more and doesn't even do the chorus. Matt Bellamy has a great voice in his own right and his real control over it, but it comes from a more pushed place making singing less effortless. Saying that, I am certain Kurt and Rivers would struggle with many many Muse songs.
