Who said Grohl wouldn't be the last name??? Women actually don't have to take their husband's last name when they are married. It's actually kinda weird come to think of it. It's like branding the married woman as a property. Nowadays lots of women still kept their own last name.
@adeho7896 жыл бұрын
off-kilter Exactly. I'm married (10 years) and I kept my last name. When we had our son, we decided to give him my last name because we both agreed it was the better name of the two and neither of us really got along with my husband's family. ;) We both are so happy that we chose to give our child my name as it's also his family's name that he's close to. However, I don't necessarily agree with you on your last statement, I'm the only person I know that kept my original name. Even girls in their 20's that are in this younger generation change their names to their husband's upon marriage. I think it's strange that this tradition is still happening in 2018.. but everyone I've come across think it's strange that I didn't change my name after marriage. Everyone is always confused on it like they too have never heard of that as an option for everyday people. Most celebrity women keep their last name when they get married, but then they usually give their child the father's last name. This doesn't always have to be the case though.

I love the respect this band has for each other and their families. You can tell Taylor is as excited as Dave is and right there to help out. This is how true musicians treat youngsters that show an interest in music. I also will never forget when Dave fell off the stage and broke his leg, how concerned Pat Smear was and how he hugged and kissed Dave's forehead when he came back out. It's good to see them enjoy being with each other and not act like a bunch of selfish divas.

I was a female drummer in the 60s as a child. I'd have loved to have had the opportunity these girls have had. Brilliant. Wasn't easy being accepted as the girl in a male band in the UK. Times have changed for the better, especially with guys like Dave given the girls a chance. Lovely man, yes, we need more like him. 👍

Dave Grohl, one of the greatest musicians in Rock history and, beyond that one of the coolest! (I'm not a listener of his work, I just know by seeing it everywhere) Great musician and great human being. Makes me think (in a different way) of David Gilmour (Pink Floyd).
