I live 40 miles from London. It's very suburban. 10 minutes away is a minor city with everything you would expect good and terrible. It's a mixture of wealthy, poor and middle class and there's just one high school where every child wears the same uniform so in school they have a chance of equality. Sometimes families move here from London or the outskirts of London and I feel so relieved for them. They can't even imagine how much better their kids chances are going to be!
