This song is more about equal opportunity than anything else. If every neighborhood had the same resources, same school budgets, same quality of life, young men wouldn't be stealing cars, buying guns and dying in the streets, unless it was a radical choice. We are ALL human! Give a child a chance, change a life!

Phil Collins was the drummer for Genesis back in the day. Then he started singing and then went solo.

Dude, you need to check out Corey Taylor (the lead singer of SlipKnot)'s other band Stone Sour. The specific song I'm talking about is Through Glass (And yes he is the blond front man/lead singer for Stone Sour.)

Elvis is wanted tupelo Mississippi in a two-room shack. Living in the ghetto would be like living at Trump plaza compared to where he lived. That's why Elvis had so many black friends you went to the Pentecostal churches and prayed and sang alongside grapes like BB King. When Elvis was supposed to play the Astrodome in Texas they said don't bring those black women here on stage which was his background singer the Sweet inspirations and he said if they don't come I don't come.

Oh how I miss the 80’s!!!!! Our music can’t be beat. This song was used on the show Miami Vice and it is awesome. Also Jay, the music at the start is part of how our music was played, not like some of today’s music. Coming in the air tonight means confronting something.

I like your reaction. Another song that I feel like speaks way more truth than people give it credit for is Officer Krumpke from West Side Story. I know I spelled that wrong but you can find it if you want to. This makes me wonder what the answer is. Is it give him the things he wants so he doesn’t have to go get a gun to try to get them? I really don’t think so, because if stuff is your goal there will always be more stuff you want. I would rather be happy and content with what I can provide for myself. Yes you need shoes. No they don’t have to be the $200 that everyone thinks are awesome. Yes you need food, but frozen pizza can be tasty and cost at least half of carry out. Finding ways to promote yourself towards contentment is a more trustworthy way to reach happiness than dangling an unattainable carrot in front of a runner. People are so busy working to give their children their wants that they don’t feel like parenting them towards happiness.
