Agreed! One thing I have noticed is a lack of coat closet at the front door - particularly in older home renovations, particularly in the south. Then again, I live in Canada, so we have LOTS of coats and boots. LOL

I am an interior designer and I am blown away at what you two accomplished in this makeover❣️❣️ I have never seen such a dramatic makeover from the outside to the inside and all of those rooms and the quality of craftsmanship and beauty and cozy with in this home is JUST STUNNING & AMAZING…I am like the wife and I can barely Wrap my mind around everything you did❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ Also, congratulations on such a clean demolition on the outside as well as the inside… Nothing was destroyed in the process and not everybody can do that. I also appreciate the fact that you were able to save a number of the features existing in the home such as the brick and beautiful doors etc. I loved this New Remodel~ I shall always remember it❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

Wow!! I was soooo ready to hate on everything after they demolished that cute little porch. But, oh my goodness, this is the best transformation I've seen on one of these shows ever. I've become a white paint convert! Seriously, I would love to copy this entire design into my own home. Edit: I forgot to mention those gas lanterns at the entrance. Just fabulous!!

These wonderful people are the Arkansas version of the Gaines. Skill, creativity, and great story lines. I’ll only watch a home improvement show if the people doing the work actually live in the community.

They are much better in design and true craftsmanship than the Gaines. They really take care, know carpentry and listen to the clients so each house is different. The Gaines do cheap and surface level work, chip is not a master carpenter and Joanna does the same interior decor in each house which is cheap and not well made. This couple also cares more about the environment rather than just throwing away everything after demo. They are more thoughtful and have real purpose to their projects.

For European just wondering what these houses made of if they are get so easy de-constructed? How will this kind of houses cope with tornados? Just wondering as they seem not very stable? But it looks so amazing and pretty 🤩

Mostly wood. Usually tears roof off at most. Then when insurance pays rebuild using Metal Hurricane Ties on the roof. Much harder to tear off, however since the house has been there long time, probably house in best land area. They built on the best land first when they settled. A plus of buying old houses is land some of the best.

Very nice beautiful home, except for one small (but huge) detail! The laundry room is crammed inside the pantry!! That’s a huge no for me! Everything else was beautiful, kitchen was huge but that laundry room would be a deal breaker! No laundry room/mud room! It’s literally a laundry corner inside a closet 😂

well taking the toilet out of the kitchen and adding it to the end of room and a sink was a good exchange. Guess they should have built a laundry room on the end of the house using a bump out. A large laundry room is best if have a basement. A get away zone with plenty of room for a couch.
