Way late to watching this, but I LOVED IT! What a great conversation. Dave has always been a fascinating artist. In his playing I hear some Jeff Ballard but with an understanding of rock language poking out more.

Man I saw Dave King at a hotel breakfast buffet in Switzerland and was too tired to tell him I am a fan. That's a missed opportunity.

David is spot on. My father used to get me to play only the ride by placing the ride in a corner and that’s all I had to play. Now my father is not a musician but he had killer jazz collection, that I now own. Stephen is spot on to about listening to music and learning stuff all by yourself. Great info guys.👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

The Gang Font! I'm like a dog who finds a whole cheeseburger today. Thanks, Dave, for all the treats. You're my favorite drummer!

Just wanted to let you know, Dave, that how you described the musicians you have been influenced by the most, and why, in your Dave King Speaks (for about 2 hrs) student visit video, is exactly how I’d describe you, for the same reasons why. Excellent sound, philosophy, demeanor…it all shows up in your art.

When was this recorded? I feel like I’ve heard it? Was this available before it was uploaded on KZbin?

Only for the members in my online drum school. It was from a couple of years ago

@@thedrumshowpodcast that’s weird, I’m not a member - I’m sure I heard it on Spotify, maybe I imagined it. Either way it’s great, Dave is such an inspiring musician
