Tony Ferguson is one of the best fighters in the world! Dave Leduc fought never a world class fighter. There's plenty of fighters at his own weight that a willing to fight him, but obviously he don't want that since he know he will get exposed. He fights at open weight and chooses smaller opponents.

Lifting gives you the looks and these guys dont lift much because thats fatigue that could have been used in other workouts that help you more as a fighter. Ive been doing gym my whole life and got into muay thai 1 year ago, i kinda wish that i could just stop doing gym and use that fatigue to train muay thai instead but i love my appearance too much, dont want to lose it.

@@braveheart4922 Most of Dave's fights are against heavier oppoennets. His last two fights were against American opponents with 20-25lbs heavier than him, won by KO both of them. However the best fighters and most difficult fights in Lethwei are shorter because they have the advance for headbutts.

Lethwei is brutal and came from the battlefield. Muay boran and Khun khmer also used headbutts and all 9 limbs in the battlefiled but took them out for ring sport.

Lethwei is savage, I like it for its traditional South East Asian boxing authenticity. Muay Thai is great but you can see a vast difference between Lethwei and Muay Thai. Muay Thai was reformed with an emphasis on elbows, kicks with little regard to punching in its modern sport focus.

Dear sir, that's not true. Dave is 6'2 Yilmaz 6'0, Jallon 6'3, Bacynski 6'3, Washinton 5'11, Nilmungkorn SudsakornGym 5'11 ect.. As fo the Burmese fighter he faced they were smaller, but we have to understand that headbutts (without talking if the fight grew up using them) they are way easier on a taller fighter because your forehead goes directly on the jaw. As for taller fighter, they have to drop their level in order to reach the jaw of a smaller opponent. Also Dave fights like a short man, as he always goes inside where his reach is nullified. Dave often said that the strongest opponents he faced where the Burmese, who were smaller, and tougher, instead of the taller foreigners.

Its harder for the taller men to land headbutts as have to drop their level whereas shorter man have their forehead already aligned on the jaw of their opponents. Please do enlighten me, what does real fighting look like and what works in street scenarios? Mma, thai/lethwei, boxing, wrestling, bjj are all amazing effective arts that translate well to the street and develop fighting instinct. Now let’s compare that to wing chun, taekwondo, aikido, hapkido and other McDojo arts which try to imbue you with predetermined responses to every attack. I have tried both types of arts and quickly learnt which is effective.

Really wide stance, let's him generate a ton of force. Its pretty unconventional, but as you can see he close distance really fast and uses knees as uppercuts. He is a really talented dude, he has won grappling contests too. I think a shot at MMA would be interesting. He is really tall 170lb, with that striking he would really be really entertaining to watch for sure.
