Really wide stance, let's him generate a ton of force. Its pretty unconventional, but as you can see he close distance really fast and uses knees as uppercuts. He is a really talented dude, he has won grappling contests too. I think a shot at MMA would be interesting. He is really tall 170lb, with that striking he would really be really entertaining to watch for sure.

Please do enlighten me, what does real fighting look like and what works in street scenarios? Mma, thai/lethwei, boxing, wrestling, bjj are all amazing effective arts that translate well to the street and develop fighting instinct. Now let’s compare that to wing chun, taekwondo, aikido, hapkido and other McDojo arts which try to imbue you with predetermined responses to every attack. I have tried both types of arts and quickly learnt which is effective.

Lethwei is savage, I like it for its traditional South East Asian boxing authenticity. Muay Thai is great but you can see a vast difference between Lethwei and Muay Thai. Muay Thai was reformed with an emphasis on elbows, kicks with little regard to punching in its modern sport focus.

@@FijiMuayThai Actually in Lethwei the shorter man is favorised for headbutts. Its harder for the taller men to land headbutts as have to drop their level whereas shorter man have their forehead already aligned on the jaw of their opponents. Also given the facts that Dave mostly fight in the clinch, he completely gives away his reach advantage and fights like a short man. Dave's hardest fight were against the shorter Burmese. If being tall was the only thing needed to become champion, then all champions would be the tallest, but it's not the case, you have to be skilled. Check ou this fight of 6"3 Bristish Muaythai Champ Nicolas Carted , against Tun Tun Min, 5"9 : kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYDVoWyFnZZgmcU Dave was made for Lethwei and has an incredible pain threshold.

Dear sir, that's not true. Dave is 6'2 Yilmaz 6'0, Jallon 6'3, Bacynski 6'3, Washinton 5'11, Nilmungkorn SudsakornGym 5'11 ect.. As fo the Burmese fighter he faced they were smaller, but we have to understand that headbutts (without talking if the fight grew up using them) they are way easier on a taller fighter because your forehead goes directly on the jaw. As for taller fighter, they have to drop their level in order to reach the jaw of a smaller opponent. Also Dave fights like a short man, as he always goes inside where his reach is nullified. Dave often said that the strongest opponents he faced where the Burmese, who were smaller, and tougher, instead of the taller foreigners.
