This concert was held last September (2024) at the Tokyo Garden Theater. The video of this song is a rip from the paid LIVE stream of that show, hence there was no post-production and this was raw audio. The ladies still sounded fantastic as usual. This specific show will be properly mixed and mastered to produce their next LIVE album "No More Tragedy", to be released on 5 March 2025. This was an awesome concert with a 20-full-song setlist and the band performed for more than 2 hours !

excellent reaction, this video is from the live show a few months ago and it is raw in march the blue ray of this show titled "NO MORE TRAGEDY" will be released i have already reserved it, unfortunately you can only buy it in japan and with taxes and shipping it is expensive but i am sure it will be worth every penny

Great reaction! That intro is just beautiful. I saw them in Atlanta and Dallas and thought that checked off my bucket list. However I was wrong , really need to see them in Japan. A full show with the lights and Miyako on piano is the real bucket list.

You truly can never know what they are going to hit you with! This is supposed to be a simple song about relations, right? Thousands of 'em written in all shapes and styles... and they come out with deliberately limited means, but so well selected (like those two instances of fleeting backing vocals), and play with emotions in a new, subdued kind of way! I am glad this song is getting some love lately, even in this "pirate" recording, since that was its first filmed performance ever... they just have too many great ones! 😮 More reason to get the announced official DVD the Wolfpack have been mentioning! Hopefully, in time it will also see distribution in the West. Happy that you noted Midori's guitar solo going against the expectation - but so in line with the feel of the song. She is no shred robot, but an all-around artist with excellent musical education! What to say about Miyako that would not sound as faint praise... with her additions and arrangements, she is able to take and ennoble any song. Sometimes, as here, the picture is painted before a note of Metal is even played. 🐺 Also fun to see the stage setup for this concert, placing Haruna high up as if to "chair" over the proceedings. Now we see her! 😉In the context of the full show, this set with numerous stairs and the "runway" in front gives the band many opportunities to move, so that will be exciting to see!🤘

I did not know that this was pirated (sorry Lovebites) but as you said you can hear their souls coming out in what they do. Midori is an all around musician, Miyako 🎹🎸 ❤️, Asami's voice is one of a kind ❤️, Fami and Haruna what else can be said 🥁🎸 one hell of a rhythm section. LOVEBITES and the 🐺! 🤘🎸🥁🎤🎹

Maybe I was too harsh calling the vid "pirated": it was taken from a paid stream of the concert, so at least someone bought that pass! I was pointing to the less than desirable, somewhat tubby sound quality, that will be much improved when it gets proper finishing. Then, we can maybe react to it again!😅🤘

I'm starting to realise that this song has been elevated to Lovebites Masterpiece level by this live performance, alongside A Frozen Serenade, Swan Song and others. I hope they release an official version to You Tube when the Blu ray comes out next month, with the piano intro. Either way, my copy will be on its way from Japan, to hell with the cost!

This has always been one of my favorites, and we never had a live version of it. They played it once, but it wasn't filmed. Here, we got an amazing piano intro, and finally got this song live. Its a stream, so look forward to the properly mixed version in a couple months, but that was amazing. Totally understand your feelings with Miyako on piano. We're lucky to see something like Lovebites, and Miyako, in our lifetimes honestly. Rare, rare talent. Just so lucky. Try Lost in the Garden, Dave. I don't see that one on your channel. An impressive and indeed touching intro, to which Miyako adds a few more layers of goosebumps in the second part with the addition of the string instruments backtrack. For more outstanding backing vocals by Miyako, etc., try "Empty Daydream" live and "Burden of Time". There are two versions of "Burden of Time", a studio live where the members are wearing normal clothes, and a live version from "Battle in the East" from 2018. For shots of Miyako doing superhuman things, I prefer the 2018 version, which is rare for reactions. Your choice. None of these videos are on Lovebites' official channel tho.
