I use watching videos of Dave’s climbs to figure out if I’ve used enough antihydral

At one point Dave almost says, 'You find..' then changes to 'I would find..' when he realizes his personal experience cannot be generalized safely. He then goes back to 'You...' But it seems reasonable to say that everyone has personal limits, and reactions to situations vary.

He has a new book in the works but it’s not a bio. I agree he should write one! Amazing stories.

Why not ask him about everything positive in his life rather than the negative which is what everyone wants to hang on too. If you want to learn about accidents, read the yearly journal "Accindents in North American Mountaineering", rather than sensationalize an unfortunate experience.

This assumes that a challenging experience is “negative“, whereas we often can take away very positive things from scary/struggling times. Dave exemplifies that in this interview, as well as the full podcast conversation, which is around three hours long. In that he also shares plenty of “positive“ Experiences from his life as well. Hope you enjoy the full conversation!
