I love the beginning of this song, it's really catchy. Always makes me think of the scene in The Office where Andy is in the roller skating rink alone & asks the DJ to play Dave Matthews band, and he plays this and he says "I said no hits!" But gets super into it anyway.

Yeah, the intro shows how the band is a perfect combination of elements and personalities, it seems. Dave said it even surprised them when they first practiced. It was an experiment, an unlikely assemblage at the time, and it just worked. Led Zeppelin said the same thing -- their combined sound was an unexpected monster on its own, they said. Can't know till you try.

This is one of my favorite performances of Ants Marching because you can hear Stephan so well! Plus Leroi totally rocks the sax solo, as usual.

Yeah, that sax is like the magic dust to the band's sound. Some bands might not have known what was missing and never thought to bring in someone else. The band sounds all right till he comes in, but he takes them to another level, it seems. And those who say Ringo is still their favorite drummer need to give Carter a good listen here.

The Gorge is one fine place to see a concert and next to Red Rocks - the best place to see the DMB. I was at this concert sitting in the box seats to the right of the sound stage as you face the stage. Helicopters were circling before the concert and having seen Dave there many times I knew this was not normal. Sure enough they came out with the Gorge album and vids a couple years later. Good times. Peace - Dave you make everybody happy.
