@Xcacel, right at 15:03 min you can see Dave gesturing to someone outstage and suddenly we can note the violin sound being cut of. The truth about it is: the band was already going to the final part, but Boyd seemmed to be in a self trip. I can detect a calling by Dave with the guitar, and then Carter, a bit before that gesturing by Dave, you know? Even the band was already playing in low volume, but Boyd didn't care, i don't know ... so we can see the band performing all the final part without Boyd.

DUDE!!! I totally agree with you. Buddy Strong on keyboards/piano doesn't do it for me. I would had loved to seen Dave pick up a trombone player (Trombone Shorty would had been great) to add to his horn section.

Dave bring back Boyd or a violin player and bring 🔥 again to the band. DMB is a dog with three legs, live and on studio. Everybody learn the lesson, so it's time.

DMB shows during those years were quite exceptional. I might not be a life saver (thanks anyway), just think that every DMB fan should be able to watch and enjoy those great performances.

all the signs were there. Something was a amiss with Boyd and the rest of them. Not sure what it was, but what I find, at least musically or sound wise, Reynolds drowned out a lot of what the violin had been doing in past years. With what was usually subtle strings, there was now a lot of chunky electric guitar thrown in there and I think Reynolds played on top of everyone a lot, not just Boyd, especially early on when he joined in an official capacity. So with the addition of Tim, and earlier Rashawn, I think a lot of his sound space was used up by the other two. I'd be frustrated, as I figure Boyd was getting with losing his voice within the musical space. There...I said it. haha. Aside from this, I can see why they cut that 'solo.' There wasn't much there, it sounded bad and I think Boyd had checked out, even by 2011.
