I saw Carter Beauford in an Apple store about a year ago, he was Christmas shopping for his daughter or granddaughter. I went over and introduced myself and he was one of the nicest people you'd ever meet. When they were up and coming, the DMB used to play in Richmond VA quite a bit. I remember asking my friends in northern VA if they'd ever heard of the band, and they said no. I said, you wait, you'll be hearing about them real soon. The band might disagree, but when things happened for them, they seemed to explode overnight.

I saw this band open for The Rolling Stones in Ft Worth, TX in 1998, it's about damn time y'all got inducted!

It's incredible this band made the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame without a decent lead singer. Dave's singing is absolutely horrendous to listen to.
