Blows my mind that a band who was once so staggeringly popular has become utterly unknown and foreign to 20 year olds. I got to see them in Memphis at the Beale Street Music festival in 2001 or 2000; as you can imagine they were amazing.

Actually he wont be back. Buddy Strong on keys has more than picked up the load that Boyd had. He also wasn't progressing like the rest of the band. Go see them. They are always getting more proficient at their craft and it keeps things interesting for Dave which is paramount to keeping the band together. Remember a couple years ago??? Dave needs to keep it fresh or he gets bored. Boyd wasn't progressing so it was a blessing in disguise.
