For people commenting about the guitar playing, he's basically anchoring the ring and pinky down while changing the middle and pointer finger for the bass. It's not incredibly difficult, but your hand will start to cramp after awhile. Then there's also the singing that makes for a new challenge. Overall it's a great song and I always loved it. I learned the pattern many years back when I first got an acoustic.
