I can say without a doubt that my life has been enriched and blessed by this man's artistic talent, spirit, and now especially… His longevity! He, along with the rest of the band of course, are still absolutely killing it!! I feel humbled and eternally grateful for this amazing music that continues to inspire and drive me. Still. Thanks Dave and DMB...

greeenpro He has had some life travesties and you can hear how much certain phrases mean to him. Still can't believe his sister was murdered. Years ago but still. Imagine living with that and how her last breaths were taken. Cant say id do as great as he has coping with it. One of my fave all time bands.

We spend so much time in our lives stuck in the weeds, the abyss, and I just learned, today, at 37 years of age that a single song can completely turn it upside down.

Imagine singing a song with no backup musicians or singers. No one releases a single in only an acoustic version. He is amazing. Innocent kiss black magic bliss, I’m mesmerized, most talented musician today by far.

Another home run interview by the King! As a new dad of a few weeks, had to try and keep it together when Dave was playing this song, usually I’m not much of a softie, but this just hit me. Definitely will be picking up the new album

D. Sousa it's really good. A little funk to it. But lots of great songs.

The sudden drum crash during the early chord change on the studio version is so fucking good , but it’s always great to hear this type of version too. Dave never disappoints
@13irishsailors6 жыл бұрын
Carl Winslow I was interested in how it would sound without that drum crash because it hits so hard in a good way but the song is still awesome without it! I’m not a huge fan of that A# in the bridge/solo part. Besides that amazing song.

There is that artist. Every once and awhile that emotes friendliness, kindness, love, and safety. Dave seems like a friend. His bandmates do the same. I hate to use the cliche down to earth, but for how big they are you definitely don't feel the ego. It is all about the music.

Love this live version and the studio album version. Dave also covers procal harems "whiter shade of pale" and plays crash in this interview with Howard Stern. I have watched the whole interview with him a few different times and appreciate him as an artist and person so much more since I've watched it.

What does Katana mean?

Historically, katana were one of the traditionally made Japanese swords that were used by the samurai of ancient and feudal Japan. Took me about 2 seconds to google! =)

what on earth does this have to do with samurai cop anyway
@russellmasc6 жыл бұрын
I know...its so stupid...he should have just kept the title Oh Joy Begin...apparently the band was watching Samurai Cop when they wrote the song. Keeping the title as Samurai Cop makes it seem like lame...like your grandpa trying to quote lines from the room or something, not to mention strips away the intended emotion of the song.

heard this interview live in Canadaguia, NY with my college roomie over coffee on pericsope from a california godess.. a bit afraid cause I'm from Baltimore portal in 1967. Howard and Robin are part of my formative years to say the least. The interview was great and I was praying big that Howard behaved himself and was honorable. yay.. this song is conformation to the team of tour guides I am honored to serve on the front line in our tiny town. my dancing nancy A team.. who know me best...to all the rock stars that have crossed my path and fill my heart during these magical times..from fear then pain then bliss to the first kiss. lets not forget....ty
