Dave’s arrogance and bias has never been more evident. On some of their Wrestling Observer Radio shows, You can hear the exasperation in Bryan Alveraz’s voice when Dave says something over the top, or totally ridiculous. I enjoy listening to Dave, but he is increasingly out of touch.

The starratings and his meaning to the AEW world is more dangerous to the wrestling world than you could think. The wrestlers risk more to get this rating . They dont want money from a long carrier they want 5+ Stars. And then there is Tony who says his company is safe.

I don't know how to break it to Dave, but the fact those fans had paid to be at an AEW event means they are AEW fans. I know he struggles with logic, but using old names for wrestlers doesn't mean they currently watch the other promotion. Also, someone being a subscriber being a badge of honesty and character is not something that would stand up in court. He literally got nothing right! The thing that amuses me most about the selling debacle was the Twitter exchange with someone who has a podcast on his own network that Cornette reacted to. That person just said how much he loved the match, and Meltzer tries to do an "Umm, actually...", and wouldn't accept that with the mechanics of a chop and the size of Gunther's hands, a chop to the post wasn't necessarily going to be crippling. The disingenuous mental gymnastics that Meltzer does there is astounding, only for the person who he is arguing with to bring up Kenny Omega winning a match after being stabbed in the head with a screwdriver and getting 6 stars. Tony Khan won't need a colonoscopy, he can just ask the doctors to phone Meltzer... My humour gets very, very dark in private. That's the key though, there is a time and a place for Jimmy Carr style jokes, and it's not when trying to relate a news story. It's an especially bad idea if you can't tell a joke! Alas, there are decapitated corpses with more awareness than Dave...
