I'm getting quite the wrestling education here. Thank goodness for these guys because I started watching during the Monday Night Wars and watched very little of the 80's wrestling going back.

I'm kind of amazed that Cornette went to bat for Wild Bull considering he is arguably the first hardcore wrestler. He was known for slinging chairs and had a bit where he had to be escorted to the ring by police after being arrested for using a cinder block in a match. He even was the foundation of the NWA's hardcore championship, inaugurating the NWA Texas Brass Knuckle Championship that he would hold 20 times.

Wow. Oh how Dave Meltzer has changed. He actually used to know, and like, professional wrestling. Astounding.

Speaking of Bill Dundee.....He did something I dont think I ever saw anyone ever do and its very funny...During Crockett Cup 87 tag tournament. Bill Dundee starts climbing ropes as fans begin comeback cheer for face. He his throwing his arms up and down trying calm down the crowd...Its one thing to yell back at fans but to try and calm them down.."No dont, calm down dont cheer".

Who would've guessed that only 6 short years later the Wrestling Observer HOF would be an absolute joke.

Mario Milano really was huge here, he is still famous for his commercials. They were the greatest, his accent and personality made them over the top and camp.

I wish Dave hadn't no sold it because I genuinely popped loud when I heard Cornette (A guy who hates almost all comedy in Wrestling) use the Hurricane's catch phrase ^_^
