The first few seasons of Ink master had some great artists.

Some, but a lot of bad ones. It's not until the later seasons where most of the artists are genuinely good artists. I mean in season 1, the first couple of episodes ended with a few DNFs and it really shows the gap in quality between the artistry in season 1 and in something like season 9 and 10 where we get people like DJ who are just beasts at all art.

Dunno...I mean, I loved Sausage and thought that he was definitely the person I'd rather get a tattoo from based on personality, but Scott's tattoos were definitely on the same level, if not slightly above Sausage's. The difficulty is that it's so subjective when the mastery gets past a certain point. If there are two tattoos that are wondrously crafted, then it's hard to really gauge which one is "better" without falling back on personal preference. Both of them deserved to win, but in the words of Dave Navarro, "only one of them will be able to earn the title of Inkmaster."

Tatu baby killed it on the show as well but here’s the thing we’ve saw so many great ink masters on this show not just the winners but people who’s went on to be faces of the industry. The show it’s self the setting the time limits all that factors in they’s some really talented artist who looked really bad on the show. But when in a shop no limits they slay it. So hats off to them all and I really hope they bring the show back with the same judges I know Oliver had that bs controversy but come on now I’m sick of cancel culture that was a long time ago a different time in America an that’s it.
