I just kind of sneer when sales people offer to put furniture or appliances on a credit payment plan. If you have to put these things on a payment plan, then you’re aiming too high! These things should not cost what we are conditioned to believe that they should. Just like cars. Cars have so much junk in them now that even a clunker costs $35K. Get that junk out of there and sell me a real car.

I doubt people will be spending that for Christmas for themselves or kids. People can’t afford groceries, rent, health insurance, car insurance, homeowners insurance , and even heating bills are off the charts. Not sure where you’re getting your figures from but nobody I know has that type of money. Rent is like half their paychecks . Better research your stats. .

I am glad I am below average on Christmas spending for this year. I bought myself a new laptop in November, so if you include the $585 I spent on that, I'm at just over $1,000, but if you don't then I'm barely at $420 COMBINED for everyone this year, and I only have 3 more gift cards to buy. Stark contrast 8-9 years ago where I spent over $2,000 on Christmas back in 2015/2016.

The damage done by Trump during the previous 4 years is mind blowing. Not looking forward to the added 25% on everything we buy after the blanket Tariff's go online. Fortunately, anyone with a lot of stocks and wealth will get richer. Thank goodness.

Big money corporate policies help the Fox overlord that these guys bow to. The Fed doesn’t stand a chance against the onslaught of corporate greed at all costs.
